Hi All,
Please let me know which version firmware I must download to make it work with SM-G925I (Country - INDIA).
Regards,
Richa
That's correct for both.
Stock images are trusted by the trusted boot module that determines whether to trip Knox or not.
And as the images do not contain a user data image, user data is retained. Still, it wouldn't hurt to backup your important stuff anyway. I did this the other week, and expected to have to set up my phone again. But when it turned on, it was as if I hadn't done anything but I had, as root was gone (which was installed to /system).
lol! So you didn't had to set anything up again? All your settings remained?
@techfanatic can you please add the Canadian 920W8 OE1 build as well?

Can I flash XEU firmware with odin to my network locked model? I'm on EE and would like to have the unlocked unbranded version on my device?
XEU version http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/d.../SM-G920F/XEU/
You can flash any version but of course it will still remain locked.
Thanks for your reply i'm just wanting to receive ota's faster than my network (EE UK) will push out to us so do you think that flashing a unlocked version will work?
I think OTA's are slow no matter what I have the XEU unlocked version and no OTA's whatsoever so far.
Is it possible to only flash system partition through ODIN not the whole package? I am rooted and want to unroot so I was wondering if there's a way to just flash system.
Did you flash XEU yourself? Or did you receive the device unlocked?
