Please don't forget to hit the "THANKS" button! :p

This is the generic and unbranded firmware. The SI is 1265-8787. The CDA customization is 1266-0471.

1.Download the new JB 9.1.A.1.140 from HERE or HERE.
  • Download the previous JB 9.1.A.0.489 from HERE or HERE.
  • You can download the ICS FW 7.0.A.3.223 from HERE or HERE or
  • the old 7.0.A.3.195 ftf file from HERE or HERE or HERE or
  • the initial FW version 7.0.A.1.303 HERE or HERE.

2. Install flashtool.
3. Copy and past the downloaded ftf file from step 1 into the firmware folder of flashtool. The path is typically C:\Flashtool\firmwares unless you chose another directory when installing flashtool.
4. If you haven't already, make sure you run Sony PC Companion (while your phone is connected to the PC) at least once to ensure that the proper phone drivers have been installed.
5. Run flashtool and follow on screen instructions.
6. Please hit the THANKS button! :D

ENJOY!! :D

Popped this on my handset earlier, working fine.
Apparently the UK unbranded handset comes with box.net pre-installed, its not there. Also Astro was pre-installed on this ftf too?

Thank you for the file anyway, got rid of network branding for me :)

Yes Astro was pre-installed. And there was no Box installed. This is the generic firmware "as-is". I did not add or remove anything from it.

Tried this last night and halfway through the flash one of the files corrupted.

Then the phone got stuck in boot loop and it took the best part of two hours to get it fixed again through SEUS.
Sorry to hear that. It might be a one-off problem with your PC. People have flashed this ftf file with no problems.

I'm pretty sure it should come with box.net app as Sony have a deal with them to give users 50GB with an Xperia phone. Perhaps this isn't on the Xperia t...

The deal is there. All you need to do is install the box app from Google Play and register/sign on through the app. (Think part of the sign in needed a pc for me but when logged through the phone the account got upgraded to 50GB)

The deal is there. Once you download the app and install it and sign up (or sign in if you already have an account), it will detect that you have an Xperia phone and will give you the 50 GB upgrade.

Is the file in the first link corrupted? I have now downloaded it 3 times and every time when I try to open or extract the zip file I get an error message stating that the file is invalid and that it cannot be opened. I use 7zip.

The second link is blocked where I am so cannot access it.

The file is fine. People have downloaded and flashed it. Try unzipping with the native windows un-compression tool. I will upload the unzipped files too...

OK I have now uploaded to the ftf file without zipping it. So all you have to do is download it and follow the guide in my first post.
