I'm currently on 11g but I've run viper on 20a also can't say anything about h. I may have during all my adventures but to tell you definitively idk. But what I posted as working for me seems to have everytime I've used it. Came remember and don't feel like looking right now but I lose bt when watching a video and a call comes through but I decline it. I keep getting a beeping sound until I Toggle bt and the earpiece reconnects

Nice! I just tried flashing 11g Fullstock/Sysboot w/ Magisk and Viper as you said and it works! BT volume is loud and clear. That is huge. Thanks so much Ken!

Thank you for the stock images.

I'm rooted 11G trying to restore LAF stock to flash stock firm with LGUP. I have the "h87211g_StockLAF.zip" image on my external SD Card.
Doing format, then wipes then install and selecting the file. The output i got in TWRP is

"Installing zip file '/external_sd/h87211g_StockLAF.zip'
Checking for Digest file...
Skipping Digest check: no Digest file found
(in red letters now) ZIP file is corrupt!
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/h87211g_StockLAF.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done"

I'm pretty sure i'm making a mistake but unfortunately i cannot spot it.

Should i flash it through ADB or unzip the stockLAF.img and flash it as a IMG?

Thanks for your input!

Ok, in reply to my previous thread.
I did another set of wipes (data, cache, dalvik+ format data) re-downloaded the file. Enabled MTP and pasted the file into the phone's sd card instead of external_sdcard and it worked.
I've just flashed stock laf and i'm ready to flash it through LGUP.

My heart started to beat faster after the Reboot system as it took a few secs to show something, i sweared i thouhgt i had bricked my phone lolol

Thank you for all your damn hard work!

By the way, before you take my advice on upgrading to 20a, hold on a moment. I just tried flashing the Eliminator74 Complete C2 zip from option 1 and it fails verification and cannot flash. In option 2, the Bootloader B2 works, but the Modem Only zip also fails verification. So, I would not reccomend steps 1 or 2 that I originally gave you at the moment. I will update you. Maybe it was my mistake. ;)
Thanks mate for all your write up. I actually just wanted to go on Oreo non-rooted, flashed 20d feels better than 20a. I still can go back to rooted rom as its ARB01 too.

Very cool! No problem, I'm glad I could help. How does 20d compare to 20a?
I'll admit I'm curious also but also wonder if it could be rooted still (haven't kept up) I liked 20a ran pretty good for me. Then I had the weirdness and have landed on 11g which runs fine don't get me wrong. But 20a have me pretty good battery life and I really liked the camera.

very welcome. if you flash the bootloader only it will leave whatever laf you have untouched, and yes fingerprint scanner will work with custom ROMs like AOSP Extended.

However, I have not tested running stock 20a with the 11g bootloader. But it doesn't sound like that's what you are wanting to do

*edit*
if you have already flashed a custom Rom and FP doesn't work, simply flashing the 11g bootloader zip will fix it. it is not necessary to reflash the rom

also, not sure why anybody would want to, but 11g bootloader with stock 20a rom will not work. it will hang on the boot logo indefinitely which can be dangerous for your phone. so please make sure you are using a custom Rom or stock 11g with this bootloader
I am in bootloop after flashing the bootloader can not get into dl mode.
I was running LOS 15.1

No problem at all. I'm glad it worked out for you. There must have been a problem with the download or it didn't transfer the complete file to your phone at first. But I'm glad you got it working

this wouldn't have touched your laf partition. power off the phone. hold vol up and plug in usb cable. what does the phone boot to?
Nothing, :(.

Can you get to twrp and flash a stock zip or one of the zips that returns dl mode?

I don't know how to boot to recovery
you should still have recovery too. with your phone off, hold volume down and power until the first lg boot logo shows. then release power and press and hold it again. if your phone is on you can do the same thing just hold them down until it reboots and you see the boot logo. then release power and immediately press and hold it

depends on what you are trying to get on your phone. If you want LOS again I would probably flash fullstock, then magisk and then LOS. Just to be safe

I installed Nova straight on after flashing 20d, overall feels smoother than 20a, battery backup is better since no home launcher is consuming battery because this was happening on 20a. No feature change that is prominent though.

Yeah, though nougat had its cookies but oreo has its chocolates too. Only put off thing for me in 20d is that ring volume is not loud enough as it was in in 11g. I second your thought "may be" rooting procedure of 20d is gonna be same as of 20a, only a brave can tell.:cyclops:
If the 20d KDZ is up I can build some packages for it. I didn't realize it was out for the h872
It came out few weeks back only.
Pulling down the 20d kdz now. I'll put the same set of packages together and try to get them online later tonight
That would be great man, you are such a backbone to this community sharing your valuable work. We need more people like you. :highfive:
