Stock headphones controls not working

Hi guys little issue here.... I have htc sensation running IC 3.30(great rom btw) and when I am playing music with my headphones on I can't use my controllers on the headset meaning(pause,play forward,reverse) any ideas

This happened to me as well. However, I'm pretty sure the cause of the issue was because I used the headphones with the treadmill at the gym and the headphones got hot and shocked my ear. After that the controls stopped working since I think I shorted them out.

Did you use your headphones with anyone aside from the phone?

I think it has something to do with the new music player. I can pause and play but not change tracks. When I was on CM7 it worked fine
