I would love to present to you with the stock kernel for N5
None of this would be possible without this list of amazing Developer's.

Can't you just fastboot flash the boot.IMG from the system images?

Hi.

yesterday. i have flashed Franco Kernel and lost my IMEI.

If i restore Stock Kernel, i will restore my IMEI?

Regards

I'll bet you lost radio/modem, not IMEI, try reflashing your ROM or modem

No problem, glad you found it as useful as I did. :)

Not yet,
once more binaries are released,
I could work on implementing a plug in for franco's gamma interface. Like a stock+ kernel. Note added.

Thanks for helping out.

If no baseband, I'd wipe, revert to original radio, clean fresh wipe and stock kernel.
Could be issues with your recovery, if 2.6.3.2 TWRP is your current recovery, revert back to 2.6.3.1 , if you have the baseband issue in 2.6.3.1, make sure to be on the latest 2.6.3.2 version.
Use fasboot flash recovery recovery.img , once in recovery boot to bootloader, then reboot to bootloader once again, then back into recovery. Wipe dal&cache and you should be good to go.
(Edit: And also make sure that you are rooting with the latest SuperSU 1.69.)

A stock+ kernel will be very nice, I was a huge fan of faux's enhanced stock when in mako, I'm that kind of user that changes kernels for the extras (gamma, sound, UV...) LOL!

Sorry for the noob question. This is my first Nexus device, and I'm trying to keep it as stock (i.e. stock recovery, stock ROM) as possible (for now anyways).
I'm thinking of flashing Franco kernel.
If I ever wanted to revert back to the stock kernel, how would I flash this back?
Just boot into fastboot and then run "fastboot flash boot boot.img"?

Alright you guys, this thread has not been abandoned. My laptop screen is done I have replaced it twice.
New job starts on the 18th, so I'm really going to be saving.

I've been reading about kernel's a lot lately, what flags have the potential to optimize what I build, on a ROM and kernel level I'm ready to push forward.
I've been blessed with a pool of knowledge, and will have the environment before you know it.
Don't think I've disappeared, I never turn my back on family.

    Much love guys.

Yes you can extract the .img and then
    fastboot flash boot boot.img
Just a simpler way of making things more organized.
