and if i have to wipe can i use titanium backup for my apps & data ?

U can install it without wipe.. But a full clean installation is perfect...

Of course you can, just try not to restore core system apps.

Worked for my XZ2 D6503 on locked BL, came from .690
Root and recovery are working fine.
Just flashed zip, no wipe needed, because refreshing dalvik/cache will made automatically at boot.
