This Oreo compare to Stock 7 is a lot faster, smoother, uses about 700 MB less RAM (with same apps installed), and much more battery life.

Becareful with Fulmics rom

Tried to do a dirty flash, but got stuck at t Mobile screen. Started from scratch with 20A and applying cowery. Everything is working fine, for now.
Had that encryption issue but wiped everything except ext sd and redid zip installation + magisk + wipe, format data.
Thank you Autoprime for all your help on everything you posted.

Installed without problem on Fulmics

I had Fulmics 5.5 on my G5.
I installed the CompleteZip following the steps given in the instruction (for Stock Rooted) in the first post, without any issue.

I went with Oreo primarily due to Last pass integration with Oreo's framework for a somewhat seemless password management system across the system. I haven't seen any drastic improvements based on how I use this phone. I checked for project treble via an app and it said it's not supported. These were the 2 itches I wanted to scratch.

It looks like they finally fixed fast charging that was broken in Nougat. It doesn't kick off fast charge anymore.

Thanks for this report. I had stayed on 10 because for some reason for the limited time I had on 20, fast charging didn't work at all. Maybe I'll finally upgrade.

Fast charging only work on screen off, but u can flash zip to make fastcharging on screen on, try this mod https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/themes/quick-charge-wich-screen-t3678958

Interesting development, thanks for sharing. I never was too worried about fast charging while the screen is on, I almost trust LG to make decent decisions on when to implement fast vs normal charging. On my phone, I think fast charging just NEVER turned on when it was on Nougat stock.

Any charger that supports Quickcharge (QC) v2 or v3. The stock one that comes with the phone is a QC2 charger.

Coming from Fulmics, I successfully flashed zip file, then flashed magisk. Now I'm on Oreo with magisk root and got TWRP kept. The problem is that my phone shows all Internal Storage files, but TWRP doesn't show any file, can't mount anything, cant wipe either, internal storage is 0mb. anyone has this problem?

Try changing ur cable, mine not working to until i changed with new one (tronsmart wall charger with cable).

The ROM dont have WIFI driver, you cant turn WIFI ON!

Magisk not flashing!!! and even if you delete the file, YOU WILL LOSE YOU TWRP RECOVERY!!! AND STUCK ON TMOBILE SCREEN OR WITH FAIL ROM WITHOUT WIFI DRIVER!

When you try force BETA or ALPHA ROM, warning about this and dont lie this IS NOT STOCK H830 ROM!!!

be warned! dont flash this, until you LOVE problems!!! this ROM is BIG LIE!!!

I am having the same problem.
The ROM flashes and boots fine, and Magisk functions, but TWRP cannot mount the Internal Storage.
I also flashed no-verity-opt-encrypt after flashing the ROM, assuming it is an encryption issue.

EDIT:
Looks like it is an encryption issue. Not sure why the magisk or no-verity zips aren't stopping the encryption from happening tho

I've flashed this rom.no such problem you said.If you have problem.just uplaod your log,or ask the developer to fix.not blame them here.
