Where did you get your phone from?

What firmware was it running prior?
My previous rom was 7.0(forgot the build) i already coordinated to T-Mobile regarding for my issue, but i think they cant help me, since in from Philippines and i bought my phone online.

By the way, do we have a unlocked firmware?

You purchased one of those phones with a hacked firmware (version 20i_un) that is software unlocked. That phone's firmware is not upgradeable without losing the SIM unlock. As soon as you switch off it, your hardware SIM lock became active.

Sorry, this fact isn't that obvious to many owners of that phone. The fact this happened is not the fault of this ZIP, but rather the phone you started off with.

To my knowledge, no one has a copy of that firmware to get you back either. It will be hard to convince T-Mobile to unlock it for you. So your only option now if you want to use the phone locally is to pay some service to have it unlocked.

Battery issue

Somehow battery drains faster than 7.0 . Is there anyway to show battery usage as detail as 7.0 ?

Could someone upload the file thermal-engine-8996.conf from /system/etc/ . TIA

Yes I too noticed the same. But after I flashed Mk's Kernel its back to how it was. Go to Setting, Battery, Battery usage. There is this new line item that's always high called Mobile Network Standby, for me it's always around 20%.

Fix screen burn Oreo v30c

Is anyone having screen burn-in issues with this ROM?
I have that problem

I've fixed it with a modified kernel and the Color Control app.

You will need:
  • TWRP
  • Root access
  • Kernel with KCAL support
  • App to adjust the color

1- Install the mk2000 kernel for v30c (beta) from here:
Download
Kernel thread
2- Flash it with TWRP.
3- Boot to system and install the Color Control app. You can download the last version from here:
Download
4- Open the app and grant root access. Adjust the color as in the screenshot attached (those values works for me, feel free to try your diferrent values)

I am having the same problem.
The ROM flashes and boots fine, and Magisk functions, but TWRP cannot mount the Internal Storage.
I also flashed no-verity-opt-encrypt after flashing the ROM, assuming it is an encryption issue.

EDIT:
Looks like it is an encryption issue. Not sure why the magisk or no-verity zips aren't stopping the encryption from happening tho

were you able to fix the issue?if so please tell me how.

I have not. I am still running the stock software and it performs well, so at this point I am just dealing with no system access via TWRP :(
try updating your twrp to the latest version. I just updated mine with 3.2.3-2 and now I'm able to mount/access /data partition. everything is fine now.

thanks,
Dinesh.

Mine drains still fast with mk kernel . The mobile network standby is the culprit . It drains like 30-40% after 8 hours of sleep !

Yep. Mine isnt that high though. Do you have VOLTE turned on or off? I have mine at off. And that standby % is anywhere between 6% - 20%. I have had little luck in getting to the root of the problem unfortunately, hence unable to solve.

So because I had a few issues with my phone I ended up wiping it out and just going back to stock to sort things out. Prior to this I had kept the adoptable storage setup I had from Nougat going into Oreo. However now I'm noticing that there are a few issues with it on stock.

1) Settings app crashes when trying to migrate that way. You can still do it via adb though.
2) There is no Games category for the SD Card when you move the primary to that.
3) Well... I had something for #3 but I don't remember.

Before I go back and go through the trouble can someone tell me if creating a mod for Magisk to use and toggling ro.lge.adoptable_storage to true still works at all?
