DISCLAIMER:

I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
YOU are choosing to make these modifications,
and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
and I am also not responsible for anything happens as a result of flashing these files.

Finally someone captured the Oreo OTA and I'm gonna show you how you can install it and be on Oreo 8.1.0 July Security Patch.

First, you need to be on stock NPPS25.137-93-2-5 , fully untouched, no root, no custom recovery, etc.
Warning: for some reason, at least for me, IMEI/signal were gone after installing Nougat through fastboot, but it was back after updating to Oreo, do this at your own risk.
If you are not, then you can download it from here and flash through ADB with this commands:

Hi

a tip, ommit these lines so as not to risk losing the imei

fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn

i tried and this is successfull.

NPPS25.137-93-2-5 Firmware

Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot

Now, what you need is Oreo OTA, download it from here.

OREO OTA

Now, how do I install this?

Method 1 - ADB Sideload
  1. Boot your phone to recovery mode by powering it off, then press power + volume down until you go to bootloader, now go down with volume down to recovery and enter with power. Now you will see a message "no commands", maintain power button pressed and then press volume up button, if you entered to recovery now you are ready.
  2. Connect your phone to your PC
  3. Select "Apply update from ADB"
  4. On your PC run
adb sideload <path to ZIP file>

Method 2 - SD card
  1. Put the ZIP on your phone's SD card while it is in Android
  2. Boot your phone to recovery mode by powering it off, then press power + volume down until you go to bootloader, now go down with volume down to recovery and enter with power. Now you will see a message "no commands", maintain power button pressed and then press volume up button, if you entered to recovery now you are ready.
  3. Select "Apply update from SD card"
  4. Navigate to where you put the ZIP and select it

Update takes some time, for me was like 30 min, be patient.

Huge thanks to:
@tfwboredom for his thread that helped me to go through every step.
@alanmax_tech for uploading the Oreo 8.1 OTA!
If I miss someone please let me know.

Update for twrp flashable custom zip?

No - never Flash a stock ota in a custom recovery
You need stock firmware totally unmodified as explained in first post - if you don't have nougat stock rom firmware then flash it

Then flash ota via adb sideload or stock recovery (select recovery from bootloader mode then on the android screen hold Vol up & press power button)

for those who got stuck in recovery mode , No Command Screen - follow,
1. With the phone powered off, press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time until the device turns on.

2. Press the Volume Down button to highlight "Recovery mode"

3. Press the Power button to restart into Recovery mode.

4. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark.

5. While holding down the Power button, press the Volume Up button.

6. Boom ! you are now in recovery mode , select adb or sd card method.

Edit:It Took 42 mins for the upgrade, so pls be patient

Edit2: speaker sounds terrible. 4g and volte are back. Battery life has increased a lot

Do I need to wipe anything before reverting to NPPS25.137-93-2-5, or do I just flash it over adb and conttinue the process?

And do I need to unlock bootloader and stuff in order to install Nougat?

Thank you! :)

Updated steps for entering to recovery.
I have no idea about amzin users.
The only requirement I know that is needed is to be on NPPS25.137-93-2-5 stock, then you can update to Oreo. If you are not, find a way to do it, my way was to flash stock NPPS25.137-93-2-5.

    Now on Oreo !!!

    Hello brothers,
I was on the firmware with build number NPPS25.137-93-14
    I downgraded to NPPS25.137-93-2-5
    Then I upgraded to Oreo
I didn't lose my IMEi when downgraded to nougat I don't know why? And I didn't lose it on Oreo so everything went ok.
The Oreo upgrade is good with a lot of feature, but the speaker sound is not that good, but I'm happy with that:eek:
    So, thank you fedray

(I'm new here and this is first time I comment here. Sorry for my poor English)
