Davka: sorry mate, I used Phillz Touch recovery, not TWRP. I'm an idiot. With TWRP I haven't lost my root/recovery and everything seems working fine. thank you, great work

I can't answer this question for sure because I haven't tested such configuration. I assume you don't have to if you're coming from 5.1 ROM but I cannot guarantee this.

Now I have put the rom D5503_14.6.A.0.368_Customized_CE1_Davka_PreRooted

I understand that it is only possible to put this rom if I do by TWRP. Never i must it with Phillz Touch recovery. Is That?

Thanks

Hi Trilogias , you can flash 14.6.A.0.368 with philz , but you can not flash 14.6.A.1.236 (this one is the latest) with philz , do it with TWRP or you will have a bootloop

edit: No bootloop but you will lose recovery

ROM downloaded with XperiFirm and pre-rooted with PRFCreator.

Firmware version: 14.6.A.1.236
CDA (customization version): 1280-7864 (Customized CE1)
It contains SuperSU 2.46 andXZDualRecovery 2.8.23 (it will overwrite your current recovery).

You need to be on any rooted ROM already with TWRP custom recovery to flash a .zip file with this firmware!
You don't loose any data (but make your backup before upgrading), you keep root, you update your firmware to the newest Lolipop 5.1.1 build .1.236
IMPORTANT: Flash the ROM with TWRP, not Phillz Touch Recovery.

Download link: Mega

Notes:
Do a factory reset if you're experiencing any strange problems.
Hi Davka,

I've got a problem. You said it is better to use TWRP to flash the zip.file.

I was on 14.6.A.0.368 firmware when I used your pre-rooted ftf file. When reading the different discussions I saw the best way to upgrade to 14.6.A.1.236 firmware was with Philz Touch Recovery, what I have done so far so good.

However, I have lost root and XZDual Recovery but it is impossible to root it again. Do you know where the issue should have been ?

Thank in advance for your answer.

I don't understand why it works for some people and does not work for others. Sorry :(

But I've recently re-rooted my phone this way:
1. I've flashed clean, stock 14.6.A.1.236 ROM with Flashtool (ROM downloaded with XperiFirm), to be sure all parts like fota, modem etc are updated.
2. Downloaded XDA version of KingRoot (there is a official thread on XDA) and put APK file in the phone
3. Root succesfully with KingRoot (IMPORTANT! It's possible that KingRoot sends your IMEI and phone number to China)

but I don't trust KingRoot so additionaly I've:

4. Installed recovery (installable from PC version, not flashable version)
5. Copied my pre-rooted ROM zip file to SD card
6. Entered recovery and done full WIPE OF ALL PARTITIONS and WITHOUT REBOOT
7. Flashed my pre-rooted ROM

This way I'm on rooted Lolipop ROM, without KingRoot apps. The only con is my IMIE could have been compromised but probably a lot of us has been using chinese root apps before.

Have you been able to enter recovery?
If so, then you have to do 6th i 7th step in one pass without restarting. If you restart, you can't enter recovery again because it's wiped, but if you flash my ROM then recovery and root is flashed again so after reboot you have everything you want :)

I have followed exactly what you've mentionned, but after the 7th point, when I started again my phone, there was no SuperSU application installed and when I downloaded it on the PlayStore, after having launched it, it did not work.
