Thx 4 this update. All fine with my z1c and no problems with root or anything else. I came directly from the letest version without wipe data.

Current state of my Z1c:

Android version: 4.4.4 (stock)
Firmware: 14.4.A.0.108
Custom recovery: TWRP v2.7.10
Bootloader: UNLOCKED
SuperSU v2.46 Rooted

Some Xposed Framework modifications and flashed Z2 camera mod for 120fps & 4K video. And some unneeded system apps uninstalls. A nice, streamlined package. But I have some random reboots so I'd like to make the jump to 5.1.1 - with root. I'm reading that there is a chance of loosing root? Can I just flash this over all my current stuff? I would backup photos etc... of course? First do a full wipe/factory reset? Or first flash stock 5.1.1 without root? I really want to keep root.

Also tempting to try Resurrection Rom, but not wanting to loose the Sony camera app & features. Unless it's possible to flash the Z5 camera app mod in that custom rom?

this mean my phone already unlock bootloader right?
can i flash this rom? coz i dont have any TA etc backup..
hope someone can help
Correct, bl is unlocked. Yes you can flash this. Just make sure to do full wipe in recovery. I think RR might come with CM recovery, which probably won't work, so make sure you have twrp or cwm.

TWRP is the recovery of choice lately. Download img here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/general/twrp-3-0-1-amami-t3350827 and flash with fastboot, ('fastboot flash recovery [file name].img'), or with Rashr app, if rooted. Reboot to recovery and make full Wipe, (Wipe > advanced Wipe check 'system', 'data', 'cache', and 'dalvik'), then back to Install, and flash rom.

It works for locked bootloader, this is how I have been using it.
I'm not sure how about unlocked bootloader. Think of this ROM as it would be a stock ROM, if you can flash stock ROM on unlocked bootloader then you can also flash this one.

:good: for the reply. But then, is it okay if i came from Kitkat (Build 14.4.A.0.157)? Can i just flash it via TWRP? I mean, i didn't need to flash the baseband or anything else?

Great thanks for the reply anyway
