Are you able to send reboot edl to the zte recovery?
Unbelievable,
After your Question I took the phone out of its package (because I already started an RMA ) and tried a reboot while connected to PC. I repeated the "adb reboot edl" command into the console as often as possible.
Now phone seems to be in EDL mode.

I managed it to reinstall TWRP.

Thank you tron1 for your hint. :good::highfive::good:

I'm thinking about upgrading from B02 (trons version of "we can do it better than zte") as well, but now am a bit insecure about the proper process of doing that through twrp, after the experiences silenteye had.
Isn't the way he did the upgrade the correct one?
* Upgrading bootstack
* Flashing stock B04
* Is disabling Dm-verity a necessary step?
* Flashing SuperSU
That would be the way I would try.
Would that be the way to go?

Flashing dm-verity isn't necessary when supersu is flashed at last. As written on page three it is necessary to restart TWRP after flashing the system if you wiped your system partition. Then you need to flash the system image again.
I, coming from my B02 ROM did a dirty flash of the System without flashing the bootstack, followed with flashing supersu.

i'm on A2017G 7.1.1 B02 with twrp 3.1.0.0 + magisk + phh's root + unlocked bootloader.
is flashing
1st B04 bootstack
2nd B04 system
3rd reboot to twrp, then magisk/phh's root
a valid upgrade path, or will i softbrick my phone, making me waste 4 hours to properly patch the system back up from 6.0.1B10? :silly:

Looks like a valid path. It's quite similar to mine.

I followed your advice and successfully upgraded from B02 to B04 via dirty flash without the bootstack. Everything is up and running.

Is it possible upgrading the bootstack as well without losing any data? Will I possibly loose twrp? Anyone tried it yet?

I have removed the stock recovery from the bootstack. So you're save to go.

Anyone flashed B04 bootstack with lineage ?

thx ! :)
I did. It works. First flashed lineage and after that B04 bootstack. But with stock bootstack you will not be able to update lineage. You will need to flash universal bootloader first. At least that works in my case.

thx for the feedback man ! :)

i gess you have to edit the updater-script like for the US B25 to update lineage next time ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ax...zte-axon-7-t3545679/post72219295#post72219295 )

im on call this week, need my phone to be 100% ok, will try that next week !

Hello, I can not install the rom by twrp b04. I've done everything .... wipe factory reset and advanced wipes. I installed bootstack, then the rom and then supersu 2.79. The result I get is: either OS is not detected or when starting, my axon is stuck in the bootloader. I have also tried to restart in twrp, do dalvik system and reinstall rom and super su. I have not been able to succeed. Can anybody help me? Many thanks friends

Uf I read it but I do not know how to change it .....
I am sorry. Many thanks Jeremy
You unzip the LineageOS zip on your PC, you change the version, you make a zip again, then you flash it on your phone.

Ok so it's the same as A2017U B25 bootstack for A2017G B04 bootstack, the TZ version is :
TZ.BF.4.0.1-00325-M8996AAAAANAZT-1
Maybe we need to fill a bug at lineage for the next nightly ?
