If u search either google or here there are a number of ways to root on gingerbread. Its become very easy.

The download for this ROM is giving me tons of problems. I don't think it's my connection. It gets up to about 30/40MB of the download before it throttles the holy hell out of the download speed and eventually shuts it down altogether. Is anyone else having this problem or can test for me?

Atrix 4g no os

Hi, I tried to follow the instructions at this site:
How to : Unlock the Atrix 4G Bootloader by "the2dcour"
When I finished and tried to reboot at the end I got this:
"SVF: 105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
No OS detected, going to RSD Mode in 5 seconds"

There is more text talking about available modes.

I am at a total loss and think I have somehow wiped my phone totally.

Found after trying several other things, a solution that workedfor me.
If you have the same issue, I recommend mramirezusa's post for Automatic bootloader UNLOCK/ROOT for AT&T 1.26/1.57/1.83/4.5.91

Please permit me to tell you a story of my (atrix) life
I'm on a Atrix with a tim italy branded rom (2.2.x). Than, OTA to tim branded 2.3.4, than rsd with a sbf italian-nobrand 2.3.4. No problem since here.
Now i'm on a Unlocked BL, rooted and WETDream Rom installed after a full format and wipe.
After the rom install, no webtop functionality (obiuvsly), but great functionality, so i've decided to charge webtop fixes with CWM and it works perfectly!
NOW I ask you (I loose myself in this xda-OCEAN -help me please!!!) a question:
...... In the case i'd like to reflash with my original NOBRAND sbf (2.3.4) with rsd ...... i risk the hard brick of my phone? In this case where i can obtain the same original ROM in zip format (for use with CWM)?

I think my GPS is fubar and I'm trying to see if a stock ROM will fix it or see if it's software or hardware related....

I need to bring the phone back to a stock state so I can take it to ATT

will this do the job? I need it unrooted and also locked back.

can you lock a phone back?

I need CWM off it, and the normal android recovery anda ll

I pretty much need it like how it was on day 1.

Motorola Atrix 4G 4.5.141 update

Hey guys,

Yesterday (Feb 7th, 2012), AT&T released a new update 4.5.141 for the Atrix.

Does the stock ROM 4.5.91 on this thread detect the new AT&T updates?
If not, when will we see the 4.5.141 available here?

or how could we install the 4.5.141 update after having flash the stock ROM 4.5.91?

Is there a way to flash this without Fast Boot? M phone is not being recognized by my computer. I've got the .zip file saved on my SD card currently. I tried flashing the .zip itself and we were a no-go.

did the pc install all the drivers for the phone what os are you using xp, vista, win 7.....

and what do u want to update to ICS more info needed

but safest way i think would be system updates on the phone and that will require a motoblur account

Unlocked BL, rooted, Rom Racer's recovery.

I had no issues previous to a week ago, and my drivers are current. I'm suspecting heat damage due to 1.3ghz overclock and an Otterbox Defender, but I want to flash to stock to make sure it's not software.

I'm using Windows XP.

I'm currently running Neutrino EE (1ghz) 2.2. I've got a thread started with more detail. In short, I think something may have gotten nuked. My phone won't connect to a PC, it's not even recognizing it. USB Debugging is Off. It also won't charge off my laptop. I was able to get a charge off of an Inverter in my truck.

I can say that when I power off my phone, and plug it into the laptop, the notification LED will light up and the phone will boot up.

Internal speaker is mostly nonfunctional, although it does work at some times.

Before I do this. I am on CM7 7.1. and I would like to go back to straight stock, with the MotoBlur log in and all ( Just to be able to use webtop and sell the phone to someone who doesnt know about roms)
1. Will this bring me completely stock?
2. Does my battery have to be 100%?
3. Anyone with horror stories? or success?
4. Will I be able to receive office OTA?

I would recommend trying Nottachtrix 1.3.1. It is described by the dev as, "stock, the way it was meant to be". This is a solid ROM, no major flaws, many themes, AROMA installer with a bunch of options, and it is very, very stable. There is a thread in the development section where this can be d/l.

i agree with you but still have some problem like, notification bar disappearing, hang on lock screen e.g. no touch responding except power button, something like com.motoblur.setup not responding error.... etc.

Try a full fastboot wipe then reinstall. I haven't seen any of those problems on nottachTrix 1.3.1.

Just thought id post here... i managed to downgrade from 4.5.141 (Unlocked and Rooted) to 4.5.91 using these images.

Hope this will help anyone else trying to do the same.
