[STOCK ROM] Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread 4.5.91 (Safest Update)

ATRIX:Did i brick it??Help needed

I was trying to do something about the tethering that was not active on my ATT Motorola Atrix i was using in India.I waa trying to remove the limitation and finally i ended up using RSD lite to put a file called 4547-fix-try2.sbf from a folder called pudding i downloaded from some link on XDAdevelopers.I dont know what happened but my phone doesnt boot into android now instead it says SVF:105:1:2 failed to boot 0x1000 No OS detected,going to RSD mode in 5 seconds Press a key to stop count down and gives a list of available modes initially it said something like magic number match something like that i dont know.Now please help me out of this. Need help very desperately.I was on Android 2.3.6/4.5.141 ATT.

did you get your phone up and working ?

If not, you may need to use moto-fastboot and flash stock image. Go through this link, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421522. The stock image file is for ATT Moto 2.3.4.

Edit: PS: was your phone rooted and unlocked earlier ?

^so do you flash this like any other ROM with CWM.(install from zip)
is this the latest gingerbread?
is this the same as the OTA.

Hi, I am new in this forum, I just acquired a Motorola Atrix 4G with Android 2.2.1, I am from México.
Can I install this ROM? or is just for the version of AT&T?
Help please.

This is an old version. Two newer versions have been released after this one. I guess the simplest thing for you (as a noob) to do would be to try an OTA update from the OS itself. If however you really want this ROM, you'll probably need to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery first, so look into that. And yes, as far as I know this can work on all Atrixes.

Hi Ravilov.
Yes I am a newbie, I try the update by OTA but don't seem to work, said that is not there a new update, that already is updated.
I don't want to lose the fingerprint scanner, and almost other version I see, in the changelog say that the fingerprint don't work, I don't know if this one is the last official version.
I know I had to unlock the bootloader and flash the recovery; you mentioned is there two new updates, official updates? you can tell me where? because CM7 and CM9 and other CUSTOM ROMS don't had that the fingerprint option.

Which ROM you recomend me?

Hm, looks like you need to do a LOT more reading. CM9 might not but CM7 has full FP support, not sure why you'd think it doesn't. Also yes, the .91 which is what this thread is all about is old now, .141 and .145 are out. All official versions of course.

I don't think I can make any recommendations. I'm using MROM which is a custom CM7-based ROM, but it might not be suitable for a beginner. I guess for the time being you should stick to official ROMs, at least until you gain more confidence and start playing with ROMs on your own.

Also, we're getting quite off-topic here...
