ok I'm confused... you have your own download... but then in your instructions you say "Download moto-fastboot for your operating system ...
Use the following commands to flash the images:
moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img
moto-fastboot flash system system.img"
so am I suppose to flash the ones from your zip or the moto-fastboot ones?

Been using XDA as a resource for my Atrix and loving it so far thanks everyone.

So i have a question in regards to installing the stock Gingerbread rom using fast boot.
I think i may have jumped a little too fast and loaded Gingerbread because after doing some searching I can't seem to find a way to install root. Would i need to downgrade back to Froyo, and install CWM?

If someone could help me out that would be great.

Thanks to Kenneth and everyone else in advance.

No, you use fastboot to install the new stock files and then install cwm, go to page 1 of this thread and find the root tool. Download it and stick on sd card. Boot into CWM and install the root file from sd card

This version blows fuse?

Hi Kenneth,

I found myself into a situation that I am in very risky of permabrick if I downgrade to any version at the moment..

Right now I am using yours 4.5.91 GB 2.3.4 Beta 4.5 and by the suspicious raised in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1165154 I heard that I shouldnt try any downgrade til someone, hopefuly, find a solution for the 0x1000 hard brick...

if I do a cat /sys/firmware/fuse/ReversedOdm I get the following number: 10000000000010001000100004000 they suspects that by this number it means I shouldnt downgrade until someone finds a solution to the permabrick... maybe we could have a test or diagnosis app that grab this numbers and tells about if you are at risk and should never ever consider to use .SBF files anymore..

Do you have any thoughs about it?

See I am not blaming you or anyone in fact I am very grateful for the things u guys did and keep doing, this GB version is very stable and so far I got nothing to complain... I am just scared about the permabricks and how close we are of it...

BIG NO AGAIN

Correct me if I am wrong :) : as I am on 2.3.4, my bootloader is upgraded and can not flash back to 1.8.3 as can not downgrade the bootloader -> from now on, I can only use the new rom with new bootloader, i.e.. official 2.3.4 from AT&T. I can switch between flashable zip files and Ken's files withou any problems because they are on the same bootloader. This is similar to iPhone. When upgrading to new iOS, we can not restore to the previous one

What I need to do now is to enjoy the current 2.3.4 and wait for the official release from AT&T :)

Sorry I didnt saw ur post and edited a lot mine above yours hehehe... :p

Anyway I agree with you BUT with one little (in fact HUGE) concern... some months ago when I was upgrading OTA from 1.57 to 1.83 officially it stoped me because I was rooted and had my webtop modded... I must admit that I was lazy and did a flash of a stock 1.57 version what allowed me to upgrade smoothly... I've said lazy because I knew that everything that I'd done was revertable by changing some files here and there... but I choose to flash the sbf instead..

Now my concern (I am suffering in antecipation I know :p ): Do you think Motorola will allow us to update our system with a "non-official" gingerbread 4.5.91 installed that was never released?

I bet u know the answer already...

There is a newer radio, I had to download it seperate in another one of Kens post. It is on the briefmobile page towards the bottom. Baseband N_01.77.30P.

I couldn't get webtop to flash over fastboot so I can't confirm that.

How is this different from the Beta 4 build?

You have to install the stock rom first. The beta 4 build is a custom rom that tweaks settings etc, sort of like gingerblur. The only difference is that now the names are VERY similar so they are easily confused. The stock roms have all the files needed to flash over fastboot, the Beta 4 build you install via CWM after installing the stock roms.
