I upgraded to this a couple of nights ago. So far so good, battery life is exceptional although I do have the battery stats jumping around a bit.

The only issue I have is I randomly get reboots when making phone calls.

Apart from the above, I'm loving it.

Ken: I'm getting a few force closes after updating to this ROM. The OTA is the same as this? Every time i try to go to text-to-speech settings under voice input and output the application force closes. Things just seem a little unstable to be a final version.

Running this stock rom with latest faux gingerbread kernel.

If you're running Faux kernel, I can't say that you'll be bug free.

This is the OTA build (with Bug2Go.apk added).

why would you reccomend staying away from the official OTA? im kind of confused on what to do right now lol. thanks
It's fine if you don't plan on downgrading. Once you go OTA, you can't RSD back down or you will hard brick as people found out the hard way. The other modified versions let you keep the option of sbfing back to 1.83 etc.

If you do OTA and RSD down, you will make a nice paper weight!

For the most part. It's the same version except doesn't include radio and new bootloader(what's causing the hard bricks when downgrading). You can then flash the radio separately.

There's also a "fruitcake" version of this that is stock as well that samcripp posted in the development section. That's a CWM installable version of this.

Is there a version of this that I can install that won't wipe my settings/apps/data while still retaining my BL?
Not that I know of. This version would be your best bet as long as you don't run the fastboot -w command (that's the wiping command). There's no hard and fast rule that you have to wipe, it's recommended because it's cleaner and usually if you don't, you open yourself up more for glitches.
