Help....I'm in trouble.

I want a boot.img file.

This is what happened:::
I forgot to take a backup of the stock Recovery (boot file) and flashed a different boot.img using fastboot. And then my Stock ROM wont boot i.e. its in bootloop...all i can do is go to recovery. So i took a nandroid backup, and then changed the ROM, and then found out that all the ROM's gives less battery backup than stock Sony ROM, so i wanted to turn back to stock, but the problem is the boot file that got restored is the one that i changed at starting. So it back to boot looping again. For now its power is off.

Now i need a boot.img file to flash.
Please provide me with the stock Sony boot.img file or and other boot file that supports stock ROM.
My current Stock ROM version is 4.5.A.0.270.
Need immediately.

Hello.
I just tried this update using method 1, but now the phone is stuck in a bootloop.
I can no longer manage to boot into recovery, only into fastboot mode with screen off.
Any ideas?

Make sure that your phone meet the requirements.

Can we get an update to .283 in the OP? That is without needing to reinstall apps and data.

SONY doesn't release .283 globally, so I don't make .283...

@Ratha ITC can you update your full zips with latest recovery v.2.8.20 and supersu 2.49 beta?

v2.8.20 is not working well for Z1. Do not try it on your Z1. If you wish to update superSu, just flash it via Recovery.

@Ratha ITC I'm using 2.8.20 for days and there is no problem mate. I have a nand backup and I made my experiments about recovery. As I said, there is no problem about 2.8.20. What did you encounter?

Hey I just realised, the flashable zip for the C6902 doesn't seem to have a boot image. I was trying to flash from Resurrection Remix and it would stick to the previous kernel. Just asking to confirm and to request that you mention that in the OP. Thank you :)

1. Install Recovery via PC if your phone doesn't have (I recommend XZDualRecovery 2.8.3 if you're on 4.4.4 or lower)
2. Copy C690X_Flashable_14.5.A.0.270_SG_*.zip to your SD
3. Go to Recovery

3.1. Wipe cache & dalvik cache only
3.2. Install C690X_Flashable_14.5.A.0.270_SG_*.zip from your SD
3.3. [Important] Power off your phone

4. By using Flashtool on your PC, flash one of these (Flashmode):

Option A: C690X_14.5.A.0.270_Customized_SG_Super_Light.ftf if you prefer to keep your apps & data
Option B: C690X_14.5.A.0.270_Customized_SG_Light.ftf if you prefer a clean install

5. Power on your phone and wait (can take up to 15 minutes). Done!

I just want to clarify something about "Method 1: The PC Needed".
1. Install Recovery via PC if your phone doesn't have

I have a Z1 C6903 running stock 14.5.A.270 (5.0.2). To install recovery, means you already have root. So since my phone is stock, how can I follow Step #1? Do I downgrade to 4.4.4, root it and install Recovery? Is that what Step #1 means Install Recovery via PC if your phone doesn't have?

Need boot.IMG file immediately

Can you upload stock boot.IMG file of stock ROM 14.5.A.0.270. Need immediately. Please help. I don't have enough internet to download the whole ftf file. Not able to switch on mobile, always goes to the recovery, from the time I changed the boot file to change recovery to philz recovery.

Thnx, dirty flashed it and no problems so far ?

Had to flash the xposed-sdk22-arm.zip to make Xposed work again, but it works.

Sdk22 was for lolipop 5.1 where sdk21 was for lolipop 5.0

    IV. Q&A:
Q 1 : Root Checker says this ROM is rooted, but Titanium Backup can't get root access?
A : Update your Titanium Backup to the latest version.

    Q 2 : I've got bootloop with Xposed Framework?
A : Don't be panic! It works fine on this ROM. Flash the C690X_Flashable_14.5.A.0.270_SG_*.zip again and use the latest version of Xposed.

    Q 2 : I have other questions?
    A : Go to Q&A.

To OP, Here is flashable .zip Official C6903 Central Europe Customized CE3 14.5.A.0.270 R1D.zip with SU and NUT dualrecovery included.
It is tested and works without any problem, so if u want u can add link to OP, there is so many thread on this Z1 section opened for every single branding, so it would be nice to have one thread dedicated to all prerooted firmwares.

I'm wondering what is the difference between your method flashing from recovery then flashing from pc and just flashing a zip in Recovery without the need of a PC?

Can you also provide the flashable zip only method? Anyway thanks a lot for your hard work I'm on 242 because of your tutorial

Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app

Hi @angvil ! I've already made a single c6903 flashable without PC needed, but I need someone test it  I will upload as soon as I get home.

Note: One disadvantage of Single flashable is that it won't re-manage partition. I'm not sure... maybe :p
    2
@Ratha ITC Thnx man, been using your. 242 rom and didnt doubt to flash this one. The full flashable zip is the best.

Wiped cache/dalvik and flashed it right over .242.

For those who are using Xposed, dont forget to flash xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip again after flashing the update. Otherwise Xposed wont work.

Deodex is a choice, but I want to ask you how to debloat your zip? Because I dont use almosy any sony and google apps except for album, walkman, google play store and google play services. Can you help me?
And one more question. In your method 2, can I wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache and internal storage? Because while I am installing roms, I want to make mega clean wipe

For apps you don't want, you can remove them after you successfully install the ROM. You can use Root Uninstaller or Titanium Backup to remove those app.
For wiping, you can wipe everything you want. It depends on how you want. :)

It's for locking using administration, like screen off and lock in play store. We can replace middle button long press which brings up google search with this app to lock the lock screen without using the power button. :highfive: "ST lite rom" has it . In your rom I used JB LockNow of play store instead, cause I myself couldn't find the sony one.:eek:

I see and I'm glad you can find JB LockNow instead.. :good:

Good idea! But is it your work? If so, I can add yours to my thread as you asked me to add. :)

Add promised posting my feedback on this update.

I flashed the flashable zip from recovery but before that I wiped cache and dalvik only so it's a dirty one but the rom looks stable and everything working add promised.

Did Sony fix the low sound issue? I can't really notice it anyway I installed the z3 stereo mod.

They fixed the screen not sleeping directly when phone call and proximity sensor were delaying and I always found the phone in the notifications slower pulled down.

As i noticed, the sound quality slightly improves... better than the 242... and great feedback! :good:
