I tried that. The only thing I see is the bootlogo, from other sources I know that /dload/update.app - install should show the state of installation.update.app in a dload folder on your SD card. Phone switched off then both volume buttons and power on. It didn't wipe the phone.
I don't remember but i think on XDA Forumwhere to get stock recovery for this firmware?
Thank you very much for this it looks relatively simple to do but would you be able to advise me if I need any preliminary software or if I need to do anything prior to installing this update aside backing up of course. Is there a plan B in case there is potential for my phone to be bricked. If I were to in future self this device to a shop would they be able to tell that this was not a genuine update directly from Huawei?Hi all!
I've uploaded the stock ROM dload file for the P9, version B136 for the EVA-L09 variant.
Copy the dload folder to a microSD card, turn off the phone and turn it back on with no PC connected*cable inserted, holding both volume buttons. Make sure you have plenty of battery left. Your device will likely be wiped.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Did you ever debrand the phone or are you on a custom rom? If you have tinkered with your phone than its probably a EVA-AL00 debranded to EVA-L09hey i have single sim P9 variant, that shows eva-L09 in settings menu, but phone-back says something in chinese with eva-AL00.
How to find exact model, i need to update to latest. Its android 6.0
Actually I bought this phone in a little bit used condition without any box packing , dont know what is done before. *#*#0000#*#* also shows eva-L09Did you ever debrand the phone or are you on a custom rom? If you have tinkered with your phone than its probably a EVA-AL00 debranded to EVA-L09
Than someone changed the case and it's hopefully a EVA-L09. In the worst case it's a fake phone. I think you should just try, but make a backup, to be sure. You could flash a stock rom from this thread or use one of the custom roms.Actually I bought this phone in a little bit used condition without any box packing , dont know what is done before. *#*#0000#*#* also shows eva-L09
Now , How to proceed for an update ? setting shows no update (its running 6.0)

Can you share your buildnumber...i installed the wrong firmware and my buildnumber is now nrd90-testkeys..Yanked the hard drive out and retrieved it! Hopefully this is what you need.
this package are for marshmalow, not nuget what you are using, thats why you got error. This update give some errors after 10-15%. I install another update.app but got somehow firmware is not full.
Some apps are missing - camera and etc -> example.
