Really appreciate your help. So much for me wanting the simple solution. This is the only phone I have, I better just leave it, I'll **** it up and be left with no phone and a long contract. Wish I'd known about EE and their ****. Oh well, lesson learned. Thanks again buddy ?I have EVA-L09C440B138 originally on my UK EE P9
Note: I have a 2nd UK Vodafone P9, I posted about.
Followed this guide, I unlock Bootloader (via official*Huawei*Website code + SRKTool), install/flash TWRP, root, flash oeminfo-huawei-p9-eval09-c432.zip.
I believe at this point I have lost TWRP and Root(? - please confirme)*
I encountered "Type password to decrypt storage" issue so I wiped cache and partition then factory reset.
Now without flashing to dload-huawei-p9-eval09-eva-b136.zip, I have in Network Country Info the following
Vendor: hw Country: eu
and
EVA-L09C432B13? (I don't remember on the EE P9, I did the Vodafone P9 first).
Then I force flash to EVA-L09C432B136 then to EVA-L09C432B182.
Note that I was able to OTA from 136 to 182 on the Vodafone P9 but not on my EE P9, I don't know why.
Anyway the end result is I endup with 2 P9 that have EVA-L09C432B182, original lock bootloader and unrooted.
Hope it helps.
