I have EVA-L09C440B138 originally on my UK EE P9

Note: I have a 2nd UK Vodafone P9, I posted about.

Followed this guide, I unlock Bootloader (via official*Huawei*Website code + SRKTool), install/flash TWRP, root, flash oeminfo-huawei-p9-eval09-c432.zip.
I believe at this point I have lost TWRP and Root(? - please confirme)*
I encountered "Type password to decrypt storage" issue so I wiped cache and partition then factory reset.
Now without flashing to dload-huawei-p9-eval09-eva-b136.zip, I have in Network Country Info the following

Vendor: hw Country: eu

and
EVA-L09C432B13? (I don't remember on the EE P9, I did the Vodafone P9 first).
Then I force flash to EVA-L09C432B136 then to EVA-L09C432B182.
Note that I was able to OTA from 136 to 182 on the Vodafone P9 but not on my EE P9, I don't know why.

Anyway the end result is I endup with 2 P9 that have EVA-L09C432B182, original lock bootloader and unrooted.

Hope it helps.
Really appreciate your help. So much for me wanting the simple solution. This is the only phone I have, I better just leave it, I'll **** it up and be left with no phone and a long contract. Wish I'd known about EE and their ****. Oh well, lesson learned. Thanks again buddy ?

I understand. On a side note, C440 from EE has way less bloatware that the C02 from Vodafone.
As far as I remember EE didn't put in a branded load screen unlike Vodafone. If I didn't "need" to rebrand my Vodafone P9, I would have probably left my EE P9 on C440.
That being said, I didn't encounter really any difficulty to flash both of my P9s.

Yeah you're right, there's little to no EE bloatware and no splash screens. I'd just like to be able to take the latest updates and official Nougat when it's shortly released. God knows when EE will release it over C440.
Most of that guide you described I understand but parts of it I don't. I don't want to have to keep asking questions and be a pain in the a**e. If I had another phone I could fall back on then I'd give it a go but as I don't I don't want to risk it. I lost my Note 4 to an eMMC read failure while flashing so my confidence is low as a result of that lol

Hi all!

I've uploaded the stock ROM dload file for the P9, version B136 for the EVA-L09 variant.

Copy the dload folder to a microSD card, turn off the phone and turn it back on with no PC connected*cable inserted, holding both volume buttons. Make sure you have plenty of battery left. Your device will likely be wiped.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

First of all, Im a big noob for this stuff. I just wanna get rid of Vodafone brand and get quicker update for android 7.0
I have EVA-L09C02B123 now. So, I just need to download this file and put it on sdcard (anywhere?), turn off my phone and hold both volume buttons and power? Is that how its done? My phone is not rooted.

Thank you all.

And Huawei confirm that C900 + C432 are effectively the same so you'll get OTA updates as soon as they become available. I'm happy I don't have to rely on Vodafone for updates.

I did this and end up with C900 (Vendor:vodafone country:default). Is that true for update? I will get OTA update for Nougat??

my p9 is tcom branded eva-L09c150b141 .. android 6.0

which ROM Should I use to upgrade to 7.0 (emui 5) ??
I had P9C150B140, and I updated it by "dload" method to B170, then B180 and finally to B182 (which was available to me), always thinking for my custom not to be changed to C900.

After that by this method - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70594380&postcount=2 updated my P9 to B361

All the links that I needed for updating my P9 found here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-stock-rom-eva-l19c636b168-t3419586

You just have to be sure that the update files are FULL, not OTA

Good luck ;)
