Gurus,

Can i flash this with my Sony Xperia Z (C6602) 1270-7937_R6A / 1269-5309_10.1.1.A.1.253 Generic User MEA (Middle East) ?

Anyone please advice, I still want to be stock with default language is English supporting Arabic.

my XZ is MEA (Middle East) 10.1.1.A.1.253 and changed the customization number to USA and updated through pc companion its working flawlessly and its supporting Arabic

i m not sure about it, technically it s possible But because C6606 came with completely locked boot-loader So ...
However Flashing stock ROM not need to unlock boot-loader

Thanks for the quick reply. From what I read it appears to be possible but thought I would ask. I get my phone today and after 3 years on Sprint I am coming back to TMo. Hyped!

I selected both zips, right clicked "extract with WinRAR" and extracetd the FTF
WinRAR gave me warning message but I checked the FTF and it was OK
Flashtool flashed it butter smooth, and it works perfect.
A big thank you for sharing this FTF (well, I actually thanked three of your posts)
It´s a pretty neat clean generic 4.2.2 firmware for the C6602

Yea, it was super easy to do. Loved the fact that it removed all the TMo bloatware. Still messing around with the phone but loving it. Only complaint has nothing to do with the firmware but more with taking night time pics. This camera rocks in the day time but I have not been able to take a good night time pic. However, I have messed with the setting so much I need to default and go from there. I know the camera can take decent night time pics since I have seen post online but that complaint is for another thread. LoL.

i've done my share of searching but have found myself getting more and more confused. i have a tmo C6606 - i thought to keep LTE, i'd have to flash C6603 roms...if that's the case, i'd LOSE LTE by flashing this C6602, right?

so you're back on stock? if i flashed this to get 4.2.2, flashed a c6603 ROM on top of that, would LTE be available then?

Yea I'm back to stock... Why don't you just flash a 4.2.2 lte rom, anything with C6603

i can go straight from the stock tmo rom to any c6603? that's meant for locked bootloaders, of course...

awesome, thanks. which recovery works with our stock 4.1.2 c6606? i tried installing the dual recovery but found it wasn't compatible, ended up removing it.

I haven't tried the dual yet. I'm using twrp but it's kind of glitchy so try cwm

got CWM installed fine. went to install excelsus (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258578) and it kept boot-looping. it seems as though i have to be on .423 firmware BEFORE flashing it/other roms - so i guess i CAN'T go straight from the stock tmo rom i'm on right now? i WOULD have to flash the .423 firmware from this thread before?

this makes me miss my GS3 LOL.
