Hi, im from malaysia and my xz is unrooted. Still no update yet in here so i think i will flash this instead. But my concern is, is it fine to flash other country firmware on my XZ? will i lose anything or experiences incompabality issues? Forgive my lacking of knowledge as i have not done this before.

Do you have the C6603 (LTE) model? The model number is printed at the bottom of the phone. All C6603 models are identical, so you can use whatever C6603 firmware you like (without compatibility issues). The only difference between the customizations is the included apps (see 'Pre-installed apps' in the description and check if there are any differences with your current firmware) and some small details like NFC icon, LTE/4G icon, etc. The Xperia Z is a world phone, so it will work on all mobile networks, no matter the firmware customization.

Yes, mine is the c6603 LTE model . I think opera mini is the only app that was not included in my pre installed apps. However i am enlightened by this information you ve provided. Will give it a try :D
I do not need to back up my data right as it will keep my current apps and settings?

Yes, but be sure to untick the 'DATA' and 'CACHE' boxes in Flashtool, otherwise it will be wiped (see tutorial).

I want to install this ROM. What is the difference between Generic BE and Generic CE3 ROM? My Xperia Z C6603 is StoreFront 1272-8629 10.1.A.1.350 Commercial & Journalists (Internal).

Used it for 3-4 days, great rom.

No Lag, camera is excellent (compared to 434 and 253) and contrast is great. Cant see any bugs, battery drain is a bit more then .253 and this is mainly due to radio according to gsam. reception in my house is poor but it didnt drain that much before, could it be because this time its actually staying connected to the signal for longer?

Well im going to try vodafone .307 its for my country (UK) and it has stock browser.

Using this BE stock 307 since the day it was out. Great rom, not a single problem with it. Camera is loading faster, wifi is working great and 3g signal is far more less battery consuming. And battery overall is (probably) 10% better.

my signal issue is still present with the Vodafone Rom. strange. in 8 hours on stamina mode with all data connections on the signal consumes 3% according to gsam and the strength is medium so I dint know what's going on here.

Unlocking your bootloader is only required if you want to flash a custom ROM (= unofficial software), will void your warranty and will erase the DRM keys that are required for Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Music ID/Gracenote, etc (so those functions will not work anymore).
As long as you're happy with Sony's firmware and you don't want to lose your warranty, then you shouldn't unlock your bootloader.

A branded firmware is a firmware that is customized for a certain mobile operator. If you bought your phone from your operator, it could be branded. If you bought it from an independent store, it will probably be unbranded. If you had a branded phone and flashed this firmware, your phone is no longer
branded. To check the original branding of your phone, look up your SI number in this list. The SI number can be found on the box of your phone and perhaps also on your receipt.

A branded phone can be SIM locked (even after flashing this firmware), which means that you can only use it with SIM cards from the operator you bought it from. If your phone is SIM locked, unlocking the bootloader will not be possible. The "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" can also be caused by rooting it (previously).

Strange. One night l left it on 3g data and in the morning it was only 1% consumed overnight. When l turn of data, 0% in 5 hours is consumed.
Maybe your.vodafone fw have some flaw.
