so the same rom works on c6602? or should i be looking for another rom?
This ROM is for model C6603. I don't think that it will work on model C6602.

Is there any English version around here? of the same rom ?
This version contains all languages. The default language is German, but at the first start you can immediately select another language (such as English).
Nevertheless, someone uploaded the UK version too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221475

For further reference of others, I tried it on my C6602 and it worked perfect :)
Very interesting! What I would like to know about a C6602 with C6603 firmware:
  • In the service menu, which model does it show under 'Service Info' > 'Model info'?
  • In the service menu, does it show 'GLOBAL-LTE_10.1.A.1.434' and 'e-label-c6603-row.html' under 'Service info' > 'Software info'?
  • In the service menu, which 'Working band/s' does it show under 'Service info' > 'Configuration'?
  • In settings, which network modes does it show under 'Mobile network' > 'Network mode'?
  • In settings, which model does it show under 'About phone'?
When using this firmware on a C6602, you might lose support for the extra HSPA bands (1700 and 1900 MHz, which are not supported on the C6603)...

Okay, so apparently if you flash this ROM to a C6602:
  • You probably won't lose support for the HSPA 1700 and 1900 MHz bands (= UMTS_BC4 and UMTC_BC2)
  • Your phone will be (falsely) identified as a C6603
  • You will be able to select LTE under 'Network Mode', which is absolutely useless however, as your phone does not support it
The question is why you would want to do this, if you can flash an unbranded C6602 stock ROM as well?

I have spen hours trying not to appear thick but I give up! I want to put my Xperia Z Tablet, SGP311 back to Android 4.1.2. (Stock) UK version (No SIM). I have the Flash Tool ready and waiting but I cannot find a stock ROM that seems to match this Xperia model. I see ROMS marked as .434 and some specified for SGP312 but nothing that I can confidently say is the right ROM for me. Maybe there are "generic" ROMS - can I use the SGP312? I am afraid I know very little about ROMS and flashing so would appreciate a pointer to the correct ROM download. What's C6603?

Thanks

Thanks for these. I can work out from the date whether or not they are 4.1.2 but how can I tell if they are "stock" and can any country version be used? There are US and German versions. Is it just a case of selecting the appropriate language?

Cheers

So, I followed the Flashtool tutorial and everything went like clockwork - until I tried to power-up. Nothing! It won't turn on! Any crumbs of comfort?

This is an old firmware version. I wouldn't recommend using it anymore. Anyway, if you downgraded from a newer version, you need to wipe everything. Otherwise you will get stuck in a bootloop. What exactly happens when you try to turn on your phone?

Nothing! there is no sign of power-up at all. It's totally dead :(
I just noticed that you were talking about Xperia Tablet Z? You're in the Xperia Z (phone) forum here. I hope you didn't try to flash phone firmware to your tablet? So you don't even get the Sony logo? That doesn't look good at all. Are you still able to connect your tablet in flash mode and does Flashtool detect it then?

Looks like it's toast! The Flash Tool doesn't see it. I presume there is no hardware reset to factory.
