The fact that the kernel has been updated, even though it is still compatible with. 283, MUST mean there have been some improvements, however minor. Maybe in the rom also - I just haven't worked out what they are yet

It seems some people had minor issues with 283 (I didn't though). Maybe this update was to address that.
The fact that the version number only indicates a small bump seems to prove it's only a minor update though.

I'm thinking of flashing this ROM on my device but I never have done this process before, so I'm still hesitating.
I have some questions before making the process:
My Kernel is
3.4.0-perf-g32ce454
[email protected]#1
My device is with 4.4.2 still because my carrier (MEO - Portugal) haven't release yet the 4.4.4 version. That's the main reason I want to flash my Z, I'm tired of waiting...
This ROM have Portuguese language?
Do I have to wipe all my data to flash this ROM?

I'm MEO also. No problem to flash this ROM. Just make sure to uncheck all the 3 wipe choices in flashtool. It will be a simple update. I think MEO will not improve XZ Rom anymore.

This update seems to have fixed some mobile/cellular data issues I was having!

I have tried in my home computer and get the same error again...

For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode

Question - Your device is powered OFF when connecting to the USB cable, right?

The ROM works just fine
Only minor issues were fixed, like black flashing while unlocking the screen. Rooting also went well, as described in the beginning of the post. I used towelroot in order to simplify the process, first flashed the old .230 kernel, then towelroot, then flashed .292 kernel.

May b u got all the latest media apps with this firmware.. Do got My Xperia App update? If yes means u hav already all the latest media apps available
yes i've got myXperia update only
but , i check the walkman , movies , album is not the latest version
also , there is no new apps available such as movie creator
so , i have to install it manually ( download the apk and then execute it to update )
