How do I remove the remaining knox files?
there's instructions in the first post - basically you need a root file explorer on your phone and just delete the list of files in the first post. that's it.

The knox files have already been removed :)
did you update the package? I know the knox bootloader was removed but I still had to delete the knox software there was a list of files in the first post.

no they haven't. The bootloader portion has been removed, but the software is still there. Like the first post says you just need a root file explorer and delete the list of files in the first post.
Please download v02 of the rom. Your downloaded file will say whether you have v01 or v02 and v02 has all the Knox files removed.

I apologize for the confusion. I had an early release of the odex rom with the ending "01" that didn't have the knox files removed. The current download link for the odex rom with "02" at the end does NOT have the knox files. In addition, the deodex rom does NOT have the knox stuff. I would recommend you check and ensure to have v02 without knox before you install the rom:)

are there any other changes? I updated over last weekend (I guess it was V1) and deleted the knox files with root explorer - everything's working great for me so if there's no other change I'm not going to reflash again.

Nope. The only modifications I made were that I removed the knox files and I added SuperSU.

well I think I can officially say that this is the best-running Android OS/device combo I've ever had...and I still have the MF9 bootloader. I'm going to be pretty hesitant about moving to 4.4 ....especially if all it has to offer me is that Google can now track me 24/7

Hey guys just have a quick question. I was reading though this thread and I saw a few people that still have the MF9 bootloader and was wondering what the benefit is for that? Is it just so you can go back to a 4.2.2 rom if you so choose to? I am currently on MF9 4.2.2 stock rooted w/hotspot mod and was going to un-root and than OTA to 4.3 and just install philz recovery and root again and than hotspot it but I figured I would check here first and saw this thread for the stock 4.3 with Knox removed and rooted and it seems perfect to me. So does this rom also update my bootloader to the new one? Or if I flash this rom through ODIN will it keep my existing bootloader? I saw in the threads as I read the whole thing that about 2 users said they were on the MF9 bootloader still and was wondering if they flashed using the other thread that said about keep mf9 bootloader but update to 4.3 et. Not sure any guidance would be great!

Have a quick question. Phone is running great everything works. Came from TriForce rom and battery improved. The only problem I have noticed is, it will not remember any wifi passwords and sometimes automatically disconnects. Wifi stays on but not connected. Have to manually find network and put password in again. Other than that haven't noticed any problems.

If anyone has any idea or has this problem would love some help. It's my daughter's phone, shes 8, and she forgets to check for wifi. She uses a lot of DATA lol. Thanks.

Hey Steve ! The biggest benefit to the mf9 bootloader is that it does not have the knox counter, which permanently counts every single time you flash a new rom and void your warranty. Another benefit is that you will be able to downgrade if you choose so. The good thing about this rom is that it does not include the Knox bootloader. If you flash this rom it will not change your bootloader and you will still have the mf9 bootloader. I hope this is helpful and you find this rom beneficial :)

I agree, this update has been pretty smooth (as long as you have the MK2 modem). Battery life has been great as well. I am also still on the MF9 bootloader.

In addition, I can finally connect to 802.1x EAP wireless networks that I couldn't on MJA with KT's kernel.

only oddball thing I've noticed so far (and these are VERY VERY minor things) -

1) this only happened once, but after waking up the phone from sitting on a desk for a couple of hours, Beautiful Widgets time would not update until I opened the widget and clicked "update" to force a manual update. The system clock in the notification bar had the correct time so I'm pretty sure it's some kind of BW issue.

2) this happened with both MJA and MK2 - AdAway will not update in the background. Updates always fail unless I open the app and check for updates while AdAway is in the foreground. I'm sure this is an AdAway/JB issue (I would guess something in how SU requests are handled) and AdAway or SuperSU will need to be updated.
