It might be the same, or it might have last minute tweaks. Won't know for sure until it happens.

Flashed the zv8 zip this morning and messed with it for a minute before I remembered how much stock makes me want to vomit. Restored my nandroid of cm12 excluding modem/efs, but was unable to acquire a voice and data signal until I also restored those partitions. I was hoping to get the zv8 modem working with it, but it wasn't a quick fix. Will toy with it some more later.

So i followed directions and everything was going smoothly. Than I was in recovery and said to restart phone and now it appears hard bricked. Screen and lights won't turn on. :(

Any suggestions on how to fix other than sending to LG?

do you have any sort of log showing the exact commands entered?
and can you run through the exact steps you took?
the more specifics the better.

there should be no reason for a brick if everything was followed to a T.

1. used the windows app to extract the TOT file and merge all the binary system files to make system img, was about 2.8 or 2.9 gigs.
2. moved the files to the phone.
3. Tried entering commands via the recovery terminal, but the stupid keyboard kept blocking stuff and the text would cut off.
4. Used ADB to enter the commands and they worked.
5. Clicked restart on recovery
6. Recovery asked if i wanted to root, i clicked yes.
7. Phone turned off and won't turn on, tried removing battery, holding power etc.

No luck... seems hard bricked? Won't even do anything when i plug it in...

If someone can tell me how to fix this, i'll send them 20 bucks in bitcoin at minimum for the fix.... :( If i can't get it to work i guess i'll ship it to LG and just buy a nexus 6 in the mean time...

Has anyone heard anything about the official OTA yet? I really want it ASAP!
It has started to roll out. A few people over on Android Central report getting it. But it's a phased rollout, so it could be anywhere from another hour to several weeks before you get it.

Material design is what brings that fluid animation, eh LG?
I suspect that's Sprint's marketing at work, not LG's.

So...one issue I'm having is that I'm getting the lg bootscreen and my sprint zone app is greyed out... Any ideas how to fix?
Try ##RTN# in the dialer. Note that it will wipe your phone like a factory reset.

Can't believe the OTA zip hasn't been shared yet-hope someone gets it to the OP soon
Really.. I'm surprised too.
Are you guys not wanting root?

We have a flashable zip. The tots right here. Just extract it.

The people that have gotten it either haven't been able to upload it or just haven't gotten us the file name yet.
Most of us use the above ways to get it.

Also, most of us want root/ unlock. If that wasn't the case, this sight wouldn't be here.

Yes - not interested in root - just surprised that official OTA hasn't shown up yet
