For all of you wondering if the file in the link I submitted can be flashed through Stock Recovery the answer is NO. The only way of installing it is if you have TWRP recovery installed or another custom recovery flashed on your G3.

So if I flash the file from LG website which is about 1 gn through TWRP, will TWRP be replaced by stock recovery? Will I lose the root?

My phone is rooted and i download the new one that also has root and have no issues

Has anyone received the OFFICIAL OTA Update from Sprint yet? If yes, please post your screenshots of the "About Phone" section of your device. Also, please remember that we're still waiting for someone to submit the OFFICIAL ZV6 to ZV8 OTA Update file for posting it at the the beginning of this thread. Thanks my LG G3 brothers!

Have looked endlessly for any indication of people posting screenshots of their Sprint LG G3's getting updated to ZV8 but no luck!Has anyone got this update yet? Looking around the internet yields that most have not.

Can anyone comment on Bluetooth connectivity/stability after the zv8 update? And if so, how did you install zv8 for comparison purposes...? On zv4 I'm still having to cycle airplane mode often to connect my already paired devices. Plus loss of functionality i.e. not being able to press button on headset to end/answer calls 90% of the time. Thanks in advance for your findings.
Haven't had any problem with BT, besides when using it with Pandora. Might be Pandora.
Finally received the OTA Update to Lollipop 5.0.1 from Sprint this morning at 5:30 AM. I like the Lollipop dock buttons they look cleaner somehow than the previous dock buttons from LG. Kind of gives you the feeling of having a pure Android phone. I also get the feeling that the battery is going down fast somehow. So I'll let you guys know how it goes throughout the day. It's been a full week since this OTA Update went out to Sprint customers so it's not bad at all. I thought it would take longer.

Does anyone know definitively.... when flashing ota files through twrp, is flashing system.img necessary if I don't plan to stay on stock rom anyway?
You really might want to, unless you're flashing a rom that will let you update prl and profile. When you change modems, you often need to do that, and I don't know if there are any AOSP roms that will do that
