Still doesn't matter. SkyDrive is more a hassle than a help. I just selected a bunch of pictures to upload and 1 picture appears.

Screw the cloud in all of it's forms and brands. It's the worst invention humanity has ever come up with. I'll have noting to do with it. If MS endeavors to reduce physical phone storage in favor of the cloud, they will destroy WP7 as surely as the cloud sucks to the highest heaven.

I wouldn't go so far.....

One shouldn't replace the other. Cloud is VERY useful, Microsoft just doesn't implement it well enough. Don't use that as a basis to call it the 'man's worst possible invention'. You said that you're in the baby boomer demographic but you're sounding very childish (no offence) ;) be reasonable.

True. I was frustrated...severely...at the time. It's really annoying how MS's programs sync and how unintuitive they are and how lacking of instructions...non-master's degree type instructions...or non-headache inducing type instructions...they are.

I'm sorry but the cloud is far from being the worst invention. I've had no problems accessing or using it. In office it shows where it is right from the start. Also if you use live mesh to sync it won't be recognized by WP as that is a different area than the rest of SkyDrive

Nope live mesh is well....very alive. I use it all the time. It works in the background in system tray keeping folders in sync ala dropbox

Yeah, was just giving examples of seamless use of the Cloud. Some of that more are the problem though. Things like automatically syncing music purchases, pictures, and apps is a bit much in my opinion. I'd rather download the music and apps again (because I don't necessarily want the same apps and music on each device) and pictures (why store them locally on each device when you could just access them over the web via an app).

I haven't actually used iCloud so I only go by what I read. I wouldn't be surprised if you could turn some of that stuff off.
No.

Learn to toggle?

You can basically toggle off iCloud in the iOS settings.

Or you can just nit create an iCloud account. Its actually not required to use the device and is separate from your appleid.

You're better off just synching your camera roll, IMO. I don't see no Erasmus to not do it if you have a 2+ gb data plan. It syncs to a private album just like icliud and Google+ instant upload (which sends it to Picasso iirc)

What I was wanting to do, with the iCloud, SkyDrive and Spotify, was stream music to see if it could be something worthwhile and to observe the battery life since MS is pushing the cloud storage. But unfortunately I can't get any of them to work. I can't even find the iCloud music streaming function and I looked everywhere I could think of and even Googled for instructions but nothing that a search brought up was any help and I now know SkyDrive doesn't do music streaming. Spotify is a mystery why it doesn't work.

Did you not notice the line where I said I haven't used it and it can probably be turned off?
That should have been where you discarded that post. If you haven't used it, don't try to have an opinion about it.

iTunes Match is not live yet. The toggle exists in the OS, but the service is not yet live. That why you cannot find it.
