Storage encrypted but never put a password

I did an OTA update for a rom and it flashed smoothly but when it booted it told me to type in a password. So i tried to wipe it and nothing happened. it wont boot and its stuck at the htc screen. I cannot flash anything in fastboot it gives me (remote: not allowed). Please help me fix this phone.

AOSP ROM? Try this [FIX] Data Encryption Problem AOSP Roms

Wish you guys would try looking up a solution to these problems BEFORE you just go and reset, wipe, flash and lord knows what else that ends up entirely messing up the device where the solution to the original problem itself was relatively simple.

Which is better, paying $700 for a new device or taking just 30mins(If it's even that long) to search for a solution. You're not the only person that has a problem like this...
