Storage Issues/Errors

Can someone kindly explain this to me. I'm getting errors like insufficient storage and Application cannot be installed in the default install location.

These are occuring on currently installed apps that are trying to update. I've downloaded a couple of new apps without issue though.

This is really confusing to me.

My storage looks like this:

Total Space: 1.97Gb
Applications: 1.55Gb
Available Space: 282Mb

USB Storage:
Total Space: 11.25Gb (broken down in apps, music, etc.)
Available Space: 9.98Gb

I do not have an SD card.

Seems to me I have plenty of space to do what ever with.

Just don't understand what this all means and what I need to do to fix it.

I had the same issue but I fixed it doing a factory reset and changing the ROM

Have you tried wiping the cache partition.

Also try clear data on the play store , Google play services, and Google services framework.
Then remove and readd you gmail account from the device and power cycle your phone and try downloading apps again.
If youre still having issues back up your data and factory data reset that bad boy
