Here is the APN settings( WiFi is on to upload and do things online in the meantime, I know it needs to be disable for data tests)

Yes I have saved them (learned the hard way a couple times)

Bearer shouldn't be set?
And the IP settings should be Ipv4, or ipv6, or ipv4/6?
These are the settings that work for me. (see attachments)

You spelled "tracfone" wrong.

Please carefully reread my previous post...
Internal storage (internal SD card) is NOT the same thing as your system partition.
OK it's not internal storage. It's the data partition
So if I understand you correctly, the /system partition is for system apps (apps that come in ROM and apps installed through recovery, ie gapps?)

I went ahead and backed up my sdcard0 & sdcard1, took out the external SD and reformatted it (used FAT32), but how do I go about reformatting the internal, unremovable one?
MASS USB Storage is unselectable when i connect my phone to PC, even in recovery when o try to manually mount it.
I used root terminal to delete everything on it but would feel more comfortable with a fresh partition/formatting

I'm half tempted to go back to mr-cooks ROM and just install XPosed for my customizations/tweeking purposes to see if that makes a difference

No. Your apps go into an internal partition "data". Your SD card is for storage pics, music etc. Formatting it will have no affect. Your "data" is formatted when you select wipe data/ factory reset in recovery. I'm not sure what ROM your using but this seems to be a very common issue with 4.3+ AOSP.

well my phone died last night there sending a replacement just wondering if there was a secret way to erase a dead phone have some private info in there that is most likely stored in the internal storage area. was in the hospital for a few days and when I went to turn phone on it came on to the lock screen then turned off instantly and wont reboot even with charger plugged in shows no sign of life or when plugged into computer. Straight Talk is gonna send a replacement s2.

now will have to put cooked and aj back on new phone when it comes.

Put in the microwave for about 5 seconds I should take care of any leftover data.

yea just wondering if this will happen again when this phone is stock its suppose to auto shut off at 10% battery left. Wondering if that is in the rom or kernel and if its something that is there in the roms and kernels here. If not that could be a problem. I was in the hospitol for a few days so had no control over it this time going to 0%

proximity sensor

any way to disable the proximity sensor for phone calls?
I know the stock ROM had this feature but can't seem to find it in CM 10.1

also are there any better ROMs out there besides CM,
it seems like CM is eating my battery for breakfast lunch and dinner.
thanks!

A quick Google search gave me this

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658474

It was really fast too :)
that did work while I was on cyanogenmod(got tired of the pop up message on every boot though); however I did switch to mr.cooks rom, and it is excatly perfect for this device (it includes the ability to turn off the sensor for calls), contact storage to phone, not google was a major improvement.

the only complaints I have now that ive used this rom pretty throughly are:
drag down notification area background, transparency isnt dark enough, but I can live with it.

and my phone refuses to play flv videos now. ive tried two different apps and they dont work (they used to play on 2.3)

but all in all, great job mr.cook!

You can run the aroma installer again and just change the notification background to it's original black. If that isn't what you're wanting download xposed module and install it to "FRAMEWORK". Then download and install xblast tools. It works with xposed framework and allows you to change MANY things including the notification background. However i can tell you from experience xblast is buggy with this ROM/phone. I suspect it has to do with the kernel ROM partition layout.
