Hmmm... I've never heard of this happening. I've seen Odin not work but never give a false successful flash.I am hoping that you can help...I have the s2 sgh-s959g from straight talk, and I have been trying to use this forum to update (I know I'm probably a couple years late to this)...I can't seem to be able to get around the stock recovery (e3?)...I have tried flashing cwm and twrp using odin...but nothing sticks to the phone (odin goes "green" and says it was successful...but when I try to boot into recovery I get the same old stock recovery)...
I have tried to place update rom with cwm recovery on the root of the external SD, but when I try that option with the stock recovery...it can't find any of the files. Are there any simple directions on how to do this? How do I find the root of the external SD? Do I unzip the files I download before placing on the external SD (assuming where I have tried to put them is actually the right place)
I'm still running gingerbread, and If I can't update to jelly bean (or something newer) I'm going to have to ditch this phone....Any help would be appreciated.
The root of your SD card just means put it on your SD card without putting it in any other folder. What are you putting there?
