I've rooted and flashed about a dozen Androids that I've owned just in the last year, so please understand that I'm not a complete newbie.
Having said that, I'm working on a US Verizon Xoom, and EOS Stingray ROM dated 2012-08-08 worked pretty well but I decided to try some other with more settings to tweak.
I tried one which I can't remember, random crashes so I ditched it.
Tried CM10, and got this strange problem.
BAKED Black Bean ASOP, same strange problem.
Here's the problem I had with CM10 and AOSP:
Wiped/factory reset.
Wiped cache and Dalvik.
Installed ROM/gapps.
Fixed permissions.
On booting, I went through setup and when I entered the email & password, it said the Accounts had crashed, and a new one popped up. Whether I back out here or continue to try to enter the same one again, i get the same result. The user does get created before it prompts me for a new one. Play Store gives a server error. Sync settings reports a sync error. Nothing will sync or restore.
This is frustrating because it's actually a family member's tablet and they use it daily.
Please let me know if you've had a similar experience or know how to fix this. Thank you.
