Hey all,

Tonight my phone didn't go in to deep sleep. 2 wakekocks were causing this. Note: wifi was turned off all night. The culprits were: ipc00000132_PowerManagerSer and NETLINK, according to betterbatterystats.

I have the exact same problem and no idea what's causing the WiFi to wake the device all the time. Especially "qcom_rx_wakelock" is causing my device to be awake 60%+ during standby. And if I block this wakelock using EX Kernel Manager, other WiFi related wakelocks occur like netlink or ipc.

The only workaround is to go to WiFi options, and change "Keep WiFi on during sleep" from Always to Only when plugged in (or "Never"). But that's not a fix, just a workaround. I tried several roms, custom and official ones, as well as EX kernel and stock, all have this WiFi related wakelock problem, causing ridiculous idle drain.

If anyone knows how to fix this problem properly please let me know, I have WiFi around me almost 24/7 and therefore didn't choose a big data plan.

That's not good. But in my case, wifi was turned off all night..

Are you sure mate? For me I get netlink wakelocks only when on WiFi.

You could try my workaround though, if you haven't applied it already, it helps until we find a solution.
Unfortunately I'm really sure. I turn it off every night. I'll give it a shot though! Hopefully, this will get adressed soon

Have you gone into the developer options? There's a setting called App Wi-fi Multi/Broadcasting Filter. The default position is off but the description says if you leave the filter off apps will wake the Wi-fi and drain the battery. I have the filter on and have zero problems with battery drain caused by Wi-fi wakelocks. If that doesn't work for you and you are rooted Franco has an app in the Play Store called Servicely that allows you to block services that wake up your phone.

I have that filter on, to no avail...
May I ask if you have changed any other relevant setting? Which OS/Kernel are you on? Or are you just using stock settings with the WiFi Broadcasting Filter turned on?
Cheers mate!

I'm just running stock. You might want to try one of Franco's apps if you are rooted--Servicely or Naptime. You might be dealing with a poorly programmed app.
