From reading your post I found my self with a prototype too, the IMEI : 004402450555853, I have some serious bugs, the proximity sensor doen't work unless I press hard on it,the screen always turns black whenever I make a call, and when record a video, there is always a noise in the audio like a distortion, and I don't know how to claim warrenty since I bought this phone from a friend.
When I called Sony they told me to ship it in, but I didn't send it. They could potentially keep it. The Sony store will not replace it without proof of purchase. I had bought a white C6506 from Amazon but I didn't try to use that proof of purchase to get the prototype replaced. I ended up selling it on Cragislist.

This phone is my first android phone and the best phone I've ever had, I'm so much used to android now, I used to buy only nokia phones their hardware never failed me though. Well I think I will sell it If I don't find any solution soon.

Xperia sp prototype-touchscreen not responding

Hello,

I have received an Xperia sp prototype.

I have flashed the latest official sony firmware for this phone and the touchscreen is no more responding.(android 4.3)

Do you guys have some ideas?

Prototype phones have different hardware, so this is why it will likely not work with other official builds. Easiest thing to do is go back to the firmware that came with it. The more complex solution would be to port the touchscreen driver from the original firmware into 4.3 (along with other drivers that might be missing from the firmware you want).

Hello, Thanks for suggesting but i cant find it.

are you sure it is for the xperia sp?
No. That's for the Z1. This was a Z1 thread after all :)

Look for older versions for the SP and try every one until you find the one they works. You don't know which one it had when you got it?
