If you are using Magisk 16.0 update to 16.7 beta.My Xiami Mi A1 running latest July 2018 patch of Oreo just started getting stuck also. I'm rooted and running Magisk.
I am in fact on 16.0. Is this a known issue?!If you are using Magisk 16.0 update to 16.7 beta.
Yes, it's a known bug. Magisk 16.6-16.7 beta work better.I am in fact on 16.0. Is this a known issue?!
In the meantime, just booting in and out of Fastboot over and over eventually seems to work. :/
If I'm currently running Magisk 16, can I safely flash 16.7 over it?Yes, it's a known bug. Magisk 16.6-16.7 beta work better.
Yes, you can update from Magisk Manager or flash .zip in twrp without problems. If I'm currently running Magisk 16, can I safely flash 16.7 over it?
I am running Magisk Manager 5.7.0 because it is the last version to support OTA updates properly.Yes, you can update from Magisk Manager or flash .zip in twrp without problems.
Last zip includes Magisk Manager too.I am running Magisk Manager 5.7.0 because it is the last version to support OTA updates properly.
And I can't update Magisk before updating Magisk Manager (if I try to do it within Magisk Manager). So I will flash the .zip.
