hello,
I have a stuck pixel on my padfone 2 tabstation
I still can return it within 10 days, no questions asked.
According to your experience with asus do you think i should just return it to the shop without mentionning the pixel, or try to have a replacement with a warranty (that may not apply)
I would return it to the shop if you still can, because then an easy exchange is guaranteed, which asus could deny..

Yes I can return it, I have legally 7 days to retract for online purchases, and the shop even gives 10 days.

I also contacted Asus to see what they are up to, and they told me that for just one pixel Asus warranty won't work.
However they told me to just send it back to the shop if I still can, and to give them the ticket number i got from Asus call center in case they say to me to call Asus.

I am just afraid it will cost me a lot to send it back.

In case anyone is interested, I managed to get mine replaced, not by Asus (worthless clowns) but by the vendor himself. Apparently Asus wanted to make me pay a whopping 233€ bill, due to a "pressure" damage, not covered by their warranty. However the guy at the online shop was cool enough to send me a new unit while settling the thing himself with Asus. The new unit came flawless in terms of pixels, but still showed some minor discoloration at the bottom left corner of the screen. I came to the conclusion that this device has a very flawed and poor build. Looking at other units at various shops I couldn't find a 100% flawless one, they either have screwed pixels or ununiform backlighting issue, light leaks and whatnot, and when you hold one from a corner the glass pushes on the LCD panel deforming the backlight reproduction of the area. A very poorly built device from Asus, but they won't rip me off twice, they won't have my money in the future, for what that matters.
