Yup, I've already pre-ordered the Mate 20 Pro (from Amazon UK). I'll miss how responsive the Pixel 3 XL is though. Google could've easily had the phone of the year had they just gone a different route with the hardware design. So you are returning your pixel 3 xl? And getting the mate 20 pro?
Btw The photo is stunning
Well for me, I am more leaning towards the Pixel 3 xl because of the software. I have used EMUI before on the P20 pro and it was only just bearable. Agree that EMUI 9.0 has changed aesthetically but there are the same niggles that are still present.Yup, I've already pre-ordered the Mate 20 Pro (from Amazon UK). (And thank you.)
You'll love the Pixel 3 XL as long as you know what you're getting (read: big notch). I have absolutely no other qualm with the phone. I also doubt that the Mate 20 Pro main rear cam can top the 3XL's.Well for me, I am more leaning towards the Pixel 3 xl because of the software. Apart from that, i think the camera is a toss up. obviously the mate 20 pro is more versatile with its wide angle and macro and the 3x zoom. Battery would also be better, but I am not sure since I got the same usage out of the pixel 2 xl and p20 pro with my usage.
Yeah i have seen the Pixel 3 xl on display and am not really fussed with the notch. Yes its there and obviously it is better implemented on the mate 20 pro with face id etc. But that doesnt really bother me.You'll love the Pixel 3 XL as long as you know what you're getting (read: big notch). trust me the Samsung TW experience is much much better. I have the note 9 and have no complaints with Sammy's implementation. Atleast they dont change stuff radically from basic stock android. For eg. double press power button anywhere to wake camera. EMUI changes that to volume down. So on the lock screen with music playing or on the home screen, you cant quickly activate the camera since it reduces the volume. As far as EMUI goes, I've been using Samsung's TW for 2 generations now. So can't get worse than that, right?
Nice, now all I need is O2 to make 122 availableAs I have the new firmware 122, which is the first official build, I did a new video, re-testing the video quality and showing all the new modes. Quite an improvement from build 108 and 113.
Grab a Vodaphone SIM and put it in and you will get 122 before it installs (only trigger it) replace your SIM back to O2Nice, now all I need is O2 to make 122 available
exactly what I've done now, £1 from Argos, didnt even need activating.Grab a Vodaphone SIM and put it in and you will get 122 before it installs (only trigger it) replace your SIM back to O2
Fantastic photos, but I do worry about the overprocessing of the JPEGs. Look too sharpened. Is there a way to turn it off for a more natural look?
They are meant to look that way. That’s was my tweaking before printing them.Fantastic photos, but I do worry about the overprocessing of the JPEGs. Look too sharpened. Is there a way to turn it off for a more natural look?
Ah, I see. Do you mind posting SOOC jpegs of the same photos? I'd love to see the original IQ.They are meant to look that way. That’s was my tweaking before printing them.
You can make them look more natural.
Yea agreedAm so impressed with this phone sold my note 9 for this and I do not regret it
The camera is amazing I am a massive photographer and whilst I have an really expensive full frame camera and decent lens the mate 20 Pro is great for when I'm out and about
Look at the quality of this .. not really tested the phone yet to its full extent but I will be this weekend
Does anyone know what it's like for fireworks ?? What's best setting ??
