New stable update and guess what? Of course NO FIX for this bug, after six months and multiple feedback....

jayses, after reading through this I am deterred from buying a OP7T
When I was on stock I honestly didn't noticed this issue on my device, and right now that I am rooted running blu spark latest kernel I'm sure I ain't even going to see this stuttering/frame skip.

Initially I didn't notice. Now once I noticed this stutter I couldn't unsee it! This is real.

Its smooth in emoji panel scroll. I couldn't find that smoothness anywhere else.

@Tex99 I'm currently considering upgrading from a OnePlus 6 and found this thread.

May I ask if you have tried to force 90 Hz via adb (otherwise it will auto-switch between 60 and 90 Hz) and if you can experience the same issue with the UFO test in a browser: https://www.testufo.com/

I've had a similar issue on the OnePlus 6 at first but I think after OOS 10.3.0 it was fixed. Scrolling was very laggy and touch latency was beyond acceptable. They seemed to have sorted that out for me (luckily).

EDIT: As far as I can tell the issue is also present on my OP6 (haven't noticed it though). You can see how at least 2 frames are dropped in this video:

Back on the OnePlus 5T I had an issue with the audio playback. The reactions to this were quite similar. Some people started to notice it after I told them, others never heared it. But it was present on 2 devices with every ROM, kernel or firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/help/audio-issues-related-to-fingerprint-t3860937

OnePlus never responded and even with my connections and contacts back then, I never could get them to fix it.

Hi Macusercom,
Yes I tried with Adb but the issue remains, absolutely no changes. I alse tested testufo in the past and there weren't problem.

In my opinion oneplus will never fix It. The only possible solution (maybe) wil be with android 11 but we have ti wait the end of the year and this Is unaccettable. Trust me it's very frustrating to notice it.

I saw the video, with dark mode is more difficult to notice it on video but yeah it seems to have frame drop.
I really don't know what to say. 7t Is a good device but it's not cheap, and I can't accept something like this.Screenshot_20200414-124013.jpg

I assume the issue affects every device. But some people notice it and some don't. I, for example, scroll and tap instead of letting it scroll. Makes me hardly notice it. It doesn't really bother me, but I'm more sensitive to audio than video anyway.

Might explain why there are so many mixed results, despite you having tested half a dozen devices yourself.

Freezing scrolling...

I am facing this issue and it is mostly when scrolling in facebook on chrome. Definitely you will notice a stuck on screen.
I'm thinking it's always and only Chrome that gets stuck scrolling for me and nothing else so I'll say it's Chrome's problem... How or why I don't have any clue but it's really my only problem with any software that I'm aware of. Edit... And it's been this way for several stable OS updates and everything completely stock and stable release except for root access.
Thanks

My 7t beat anything my note 9 did.... especially games. Thanks
Don't know any pro players that used note 9 (or any Samsung phone). maybe for candy crash ? ..
It's about that extra FPS and not graphics. And the topic is for stuttering which obviously damage the FPS.
The OP7T will beat the note 9 without a hassle , so does the OP6.
Thanks.

Beta 9 makes it worse alot worse is never going to go to a custom ROM but this last beta has been so bad the screen lagged the input lag the stuttering arter kernel helps but doesn't make it go away
