Stylus performance ... laggy?

Hi guys

Just wondering if it is just mine or a general fault/flaw on the XOOM? But in Sketchbook Express or any of the drawing/note paper app like anti paper hd there is a big lag in that if a draw a line the width of the XOOM not particularly fast the line draws about a cm behind where the stylus actually is.

The same stylus works flawlessly on my wife's iPad in Sketch book express. And the lag can be observed on the XOOM even when using my finger.

I am on stock 3.1 for the UK but would root and go to a custom rom if the problem is fixed/improved?

Thanks

Yeah I just found it, slightly better than sketch book or anti paper but still not as responsive as I would hope/expect

Hmm ... ok I have tried Maple paint .... marginally better but still not picking up the finer motion of handwriting very well.

I may try rooting this weekend and see if it offers much improvement

Thanks for the tip ... super note is great in terms of responsiveness. That at least reassures me that it is technically possible for my XOOM to deliver the performance I expect.

Let's hope some of the other developers can work out how to deliver similar experience to the users

Sketch pad? sketch book mobile is what I have from auto desk. That definitely does not catch quick shapes like a "w" well, it generally comes out like a "u"

Just grabbed my wifes iPad ... and damn I get frustrated by just how good apps are and the variety ... I knew I was signing up to a young os for tablets but the pace of the development and improvements is very disappointing

Anyway ... Bamboo Paper, neu.Notes and UPAD are all worth checking out if you have access it an iOS device and perhaps firing off an email to the devs if you are impressed with them.

I agree with you. Sketchbook is smoother on the iOS platform. I sold my iPad yesterday though. I hear that if you overclock your Xoom to 1.5 it helps.
