Hey,

Here's my video test of the Griffin stylus on the Nook Color. Same results as everyone here. I don't recommend the stylus. This stylus was the best reviewed stylus on the iPad, even better than the Dagi. I don't like Dagi because its tip. So far no good stylus on the Nook Color. Capacitive screen just plain sucks with stylus IMO.

I don't recommend spending any money on a stylus for the Nook Color. I'm going to be the Amazng Randi here and be a skeptic. I don't think the Nook Color screen takes to stylus use well. have not seen a single testimonial that is convincing for the Nook Color with a stylus suitable for painting/drawing. Tapping and basic navigation, maybe, but I can use my finger for that. It's the precision work I wanted it for.

I just ordered the BoxWave stylus pen combo from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003OXPA3M). It seems to have pretty good reviews.
Look at my video test of the Griffin. Boxwave, Targus, and Griffin uses the same tip.

I will test CM7 to see if the screen responsiveness have improved.

Edit, testing on CM7
Well, CM7 Gingerbread v3 built feels laggy. I noticed the responsiveness of the screen is the same as stock v1.1 with the Griffin stylus. It's almost impossible to write a decent word let alone draw anything decent looking. It's a really bad $15 investment on my part.

Depends - the Dagi definitely does work for writing and drawing but you can't do small, highly detailed drawings or small text. The lines are too wavy if you try that, I think it has to do with how tight of a sensor grid the screen on the NC has.

It works for my purposes, I can take notes and do simple drawings which is what I was after.

Has anyone ever tried making their own capacitive stylus as described in this link?

Add this to the list of stylus that don't work on the Nook:

Acase 2nd Generation Apple iPad / iPhone / iPod Capacitive Stylus (Jet Black) Newest Model

Terrible skipping and poor tracking. Ordered the Dagi P005B and will report back.

Has anyone tried increasing the sensitivity of the screen? There is an ADB command on NookDevs to recalibrate, and they say if you turn it screen down before doing so it will make it super sensitive. If your main uses are as a stylus controlled device that might help out.

snives, I just tried that and no luck with my Pogo Sketch. My screen is calibrated now at a "super sensitive" level and the pogo sketch stylus I received today just doesn't work. It's okay for selecting things, but I don't really see the point in having if it I can't sketch with it.

At least I now finally have ADB things installed :). i'm going to return it Monday and look into other options. It seems the dagi is the way to go.

I tried using some of the foam as this method shows, and it's not quite there. If the foam has a relatively large contact area, like fingertip size, it can work. But it's quite sensitive to how well that surface is pressed against the screen and so pretty much impractical. I do have a screen protector on, that may make a difference.
I also tried the same foam shapes on my ipod touch and it worked great. As others have said, the nook screen is less forgiving of styli. Maybe the sensor grid is coarser than others?
