Subsidized Price at BestBuy

Just picked up mine at BestBuy. They didn't know anything about the $599 price w/contract. I showed them the Verizon site (that shows the lower price), and they did a manager override to bring the price down to $599.

Also, fwiw, I only signed up for the $20/mo package and still got the price down to 599... which I believe is in conflict with the Costco reports that came in yesterday.

You had better luck than I did. They showed me the employee news that said they WERE NOT matching the Verizon price and could not activate the XOOM on contract. I walked down the street and bought one at Verizon.

I got mine for $599 with the $20 plan. now i'm debating whether that was a good idea or not...
The way I see it, the 799 price wasnr "that" far off from the 599 with some months of data here and there. I think it came out to 13 months...if used the mobile network for 13 months it broke even. This way, I won't have to think about it... when I need/want it, it will be there. Have it turned off for everyday usage.
