Here I am, and this time with great news! Finally, after 13 motherboards sacrificed in the name of knowledge, I have succeeded in expanding both RAM and storage of my Nexus 5! See OP and, if interested, I am willing to provide any detail you require!

Thanks... Honestly I was expecting more interest in the process, at least according to to old messages when I started the mod... Maybe Nexus 5 is really dead...

There have been some difficulties with software side (Bluetooth) and the device is getting old so people are moving to other newer devices. But imho it does not diminish the value of your effort :good:

I would love to know how it was done I think it would be a fun side project for people who have a couple Nexus 5s llaying around.

OMG of course post it. I got rework station and 2 nexus 5. One with broken display connector and other with cracked display and problematic power button. I bought 3-rd nexus 5 yesterday on ebay. At some point i'll try to change storage because changing RAM which sits on top of chipset seems like VERY difficult to do for me.

You should modify software too

Flash latest android 9.0 on your nexus 5 root it tweak the kernel and you will get amazing results!
