Successfully rooted Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530H - By Mohan

good day, may i ask about the rooting? the first step work for me , there is the superuser app when i finished flashing the first md5, but after i reboot it to proceed on the #2 step, it doesnt show anything , it boots up and show samsung galaxy grand prime by android and after that theres a black screen, i cant even boot it in recovery mode, what should i do now? i still can't flash the second file (it is invalid) hope you will help me thanks

dont know why, but recently most of the people are facing this problem...
i tried rooting my friend's grand prime using this method and faced similar issue...

what i did was reflashed the first file again and restarted the mobile.. it worked and with root access... but then still, if i were to restart the mobile i would get the same issue again and had to reflash the first file again... it was an never ending process...

i downloaded another firmware and reflashed it again...

Finally i rooted my new Grand Prime successfully

I so desparately wanted to root my new Grand Prime so I tried rooting by myself as it wasn't available by chainfire.

I haven't done much here, I just modified few files of CF-Auto-Root which was made for different device by chainfire.

Couldn't attach the file here as the size is 44MB

Download it from here: h t t p : / / d - h . s t / AWH
(remove spaces in the above link)

The zip archive contains:
Odin v3.07
2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.md5
1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5

Rooting method is simple.

Boot device into download mode and flash the first file: 2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.md5

Wait for the device to reboot and again boot into download mode and flash the second file: 1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5

Now after the device has finished reboot you can see SuperSU installed. Open it and it will ask to disable knox notification... Press Cancel.

If SuperSU asks for su binary update, just press the Normal button.

I did this but then it turned into black screen now i cant go to bootloader .

plz reply me what to do as power+volume up/down+home is not showing me options for recover or reboot.. JUZT A TOTAL BLACK SCREEN.

Possible battery drain.

Greetings to all.
I used this root and now the battery seems to be dropping fast when the the screen is on (but apparently no wakelock). Anyone had this issue? Does anybody know how to fix it?

Please Help

I really want to go back to my stock firmware through odin, but I can't,apparently because this root changed my baseband string, or something like that.

I keep receiving " Error: Secure Check Fail : aboot" on my phone everytime i try to flash the stock firmware through odin.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

Kingo root is best for rooting grand prime cause if you root your device with odin your device does not enter "recovery mode"

Please, i´m desperate . Someone who has a nandroid backup of the samsung sm-g530az that could give me. I really need that backup, my Samsung is dead, and I can´t flashing in cwm. Odin don´t recognize my smartphone in download mode, and Samsung kies don´t help me. I had a backup, but i can´t find it. Thank you so much!

try to find firmware with the same modem file (baseband)
