Well, at least you didn't just throw money away when you deleted that e-mail.

And while I understand you, I also understand that for a lot of devices they have to work specifically for that device, and makes sense to charge in that case..

I'll LMAO when we get the truth from topic starter that he has unlocked bootloader, or never locked prototype phone. That will be funny )

If not... Well, s-on is still there. Everything goes back on reboot. Why messing around with lame temp root that won't give you full root rights, instead of perfectly stable unlocking procedure? Who you want to cheat?

Yup..but hey
Removing bloatware is better than nothing
You act like there is nothing else. We have bootloader unlock and full root for over a year now for the Droid Turbo. You're just not willing to pay $25 for Sunshine.

And @jcase who knows more about rooting and the Droid Turbo than almost anyone else on the planet said it's probably something specific to your device. From what you have described you seem to be re-running some kine of temp root every time?

(havent read the entire thread)
Either something is rerunning a temproot each time, or he has a device that for some reason has no write protection (engineering device, already unlocked or bad flash controller).

If the first one, its not going to last with the mm patch, nor would it remain stable. Many things will just break.

If the second one, then its specific to his phone.

Yea I know..for me paying 25$ for bootloader unlock is a rip-off (Sorry jcase :p) but yea
That's why I didn't unlock..anyway I am waiting for marshmallow to see if anything will happen
if Verizon still keeps their protection drm then I will simply change phone :D
I can use the 25$ + Droid Turbo on getting a better phone :p

Hello Guys,I have Successfully rooted my motorola droid turbo su4tl-49 without using sunshine or moforoot.I did by first using vroot then iroot then kingoroot then atlast i tried kingroot apk downloaded from kingroot. In 3rd attempt my cell phone was rooted successfully.
Kingroot will mess up your phone.

Kingroot = bad. Not only does it not work consistently, but when it does, it lasts anywhere between 5 minutes and 1 reset. It has also messed up many phones with locked bootloaders. Whatever you want root for, it's not worth using Kingroot, especially if you plan on selling the phone soon.

If you insist on trying it, make sure you know how to re-flash the system partition. The changes that Kingroot makes cannot be removed with a factory reset.

Of course Verizon will keep their locked bootloader. So, you are "waiting" for nothing.

Change phone to WHAT? All Verizon phones (except Nexus) have locked down bootloaders. Unless like me you are not a Verizon customer and don't need a Verizon phone. In which case, why did you buy the Droid Turbo? (I have the sibling Quark, Moto XT1225 which has all the AT&T LTE bands.)

Yes, some older Verizon phones may have "free" bootloader unlock exploits, but Verizon patches those just like on the Droid Turbo. So, you would be taking a chance buying a used phone, if it's not already unlocked.

lol, i paid my $25 dollars as soon as sunshine unlocked the turbo, one of the best purchases i ever made. running android 7.1 on it now, verizon doesn't own me anymore.
this actually saved me money, i would not have kept this phone for so long without being able to update it since verizon blew us off (actually this is the longest i have ever kept a phone).

Because:
1-I don't live in USA and I am not a Verizon user
2-I bought the Droid Turbo because It's Very cheap for what it offers! (Snapdragon 805 for 100$)
3-I didn't buy the Moto maxx/Moto Turbo because they were having double the price
4-I will change to IDK :p (I will see if there is a great deal on black Friday)

"I'm not going to pay $25! I'll just get a new phone!"

This isn't the first time I've heard this argument and I still don't get it. So you're not going to pay $25, but you'll pay $200+ for a comparable phone. In what universe does that make any sense?
Who said that that I will pay 200+? ^_^
In my country people don't know about eBay and amazon
When they see my phone's spec I can sell mine for 200$
I will pay extra 50$ from my side (25$ from bootloader unlock money) and get a better phone
So yup it makes much sense ^_^
