I haven't been in the forums since my Galaxy S2/4/5 days and with recent improvements on preventing custom roms and flashing, I haven't been doing anything with my phones as of late.
Here's the deal - this morning I woke, picked up my V10 off my nightstand, and was reading the news when the device became unresponsive to the point I had to pull the battery. Ever since, it's effectively been a brick. If I pull the battery and plug in, I get a battery symbol with a red question mark. If I try to boot into recovery, I can't. I can only get to factory reset but even then, it just sits there when I select yes.
I'm within the LG warranty period, so I've already arranged with AT&T for a replacement but is there a way I can perform a wipe on this device to clear out my personal data? ADB was never enabled, so I cannot get in that way as far as I know, and it's not like I have the nuclear codes on my phone, but I wasn't using whole device encryption, there are emails, browsing history, etc.
Any ideas?
