To anyone considering the Bepak, it is no longer cut like in this post. It now has the standard cut out from left of the camera to right of the earpiece. However, it is cut very close to the edges so it sits very nicely on the phone with little to no gap between it and a case lip, and a very little gap around the camera and earpiece.

Ah that's a shame as I was considering buying another as the edges on one side have gotten oil seeping into them somehow and it is noticeable when the phone is off.

In case you are wondering why I would buy it again, it's pretty cheap compared to the others, which start from about £12 if I remember correctly.

I should also add that it is quite shiny and also a fingerprint magnet - like quite a lot, but I don't know whether there are ones are anti-oleic. You don't notice this until you turn the screen off and I always have to wipe it on my jeans before using.

I've had good experience using XtremeGuard Spartan Glass on the Nexus 5 and 6 and the LG G3 proved no different. I recently ordered end of November and their cutout for the earpiece and front sensors was one piece but still has glass surrounding the borders.

It's $6/ea with their always repeating 80-90% coupon. Free shipping. I bought two and called it a day.

problem with xtremeguard is that they have different suppliers, I got one that only has a cutout for the speaker and sensors while the one I got a week after had the normal top cutout.

I just got one the other day that has the circle cutout so it's a gamble

Of ALL the various brands of tempered glass screen protectors, does anyone think that there's basically 3-4 manufacturers and then are private labeling for all the various name brands? Just some food for thought.

My main question is this: of all the ones that have been recommended which have the best oleophobic coatings? That is the most resistant to skin oil and fingerprints. I've noticed with some that it varies from brand to brand.

Any help will be appreciated.

I've ordered many glass screen protectors and found they all have more or less the same performance in oleophopic coating, which isn't that great. However all the protector's I've bought were under $10. I've had 3 rectangular cutout screen protectors and I found that all 3 had a slightly different cutout (some more rounded areount the speaker and some more straight cut), so I think there are various manufacturers (I may be wrong thought and could have just been chance that I got 3 with slightly different cutouts). For me it was quite a big deal to find one with a precise cutout. I found one that does (after bepak stopped manufacturing them this way) here: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/380946516556 so I would definitely recommend this one if that's your case I would definitely recommend it, but if not, I've only heard glowing remarks about ilooome and icarez.

FWIW, I've had the one VZW carries in-store, the Icarez, and the iloome. The VZW one had the best oleophobic properties - significantly better, but it was .3 mm and too thick. The iloome has the next best, but only marginally better than icarez.

As always, YMMV.

I see.. I don't know what should I buy, lol the one with cut out on the speaker only or the one with cutout until the camera
Personally I like the cutout around the speaker because I've had both, but only because of the symmetrical look it gives the phone. I personally don't notice a difference in camera quality, or speed of autobrightness with the proximity sensors. I guess it's just personal preference though.

Dropped my phone and my xtremeguard Spartan cracked..so I order an other set from them.. My original set was just cut out around the ear piece and ambient sensor's.. This new set is cut from the ear piece all the way past the camera..and doesn't align right around the phone.. Guess for 4.50 you get what you get. First time around was excellent.. Not this time

I use Tech Glass by Skinomi and think it is the best glass screen protector for your money ($10). I've had my replacement on my G3 for a good 5 months now and it still looks as new as when I first applied it. The first screen, I dropped on limestone and it cracked at one of the corners -- phone was fine. Emailed pictures and details to Skinomi and received a replacement a week later at no charge. What other companies offer that kind of customer service/replacement warranty?

I had a similar issue (twice now - clumsy me) with icarez glass protectors. Sent an email on Friday and they immediately shipped out a replacement - received it on Monday!

I want a tempered glass for my LG G3 but one that covers the whole front except for the speaker. I want it to cover the front camera and the sensors, everything but the speaker, in order to have a more "barely there" look. I dont even use the front camera anyway, and judging from other screenprotectors that cover those sensers/camera and there have been no complaints, I don't see a reason not to...

Ideally I would get the Spigen Nano glass.tr, but it is ectremely pricey (I mean, I could pay a premium of about 50% to get exactly what I need, but seriously 40$ for this is extorsion when other ones are like 5$....
I did buy a BEPAK from ebay based on this thread, however I received the second edition which is like all others and doesnt cover the top of the screen :(

Is there a cheap option that is like the Spigen in design?

Are there any negative effects of the flash/camera being covered by a glass screen protector?
