Hi everyone,

I was following this thread before making a purchase but got a good deal on a Mixza 128GB SD card from Aliexpress ($26) with free shopping so just placed the order and received it yesterday.

The card seems to be of good quality and works well. I almost filled it up half way through and doesn't effect any performance of the phone or itself.

I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase considering the price, would recommend for big capacity with nice read speeds and decent write speeds.

How'd you get it so fast??? That is a Chinese brand and Aliexpress is also in China! Seen that company several time online. Time will tell. I'm sticking with SanDisk as I have for over 20. I KNOW they're good.

I usually purchase only from Aliexpress rather than eBay or Amazon as I find better deals and honest user reviews there with actual pictures and comments. I ordered around 20 items on 29th March (Aliexpress anniversary sale) and got excellent deals like Samsung quick wireless charger for $5 and other screen protectors, carbon fiber skins for S7 and PS4 etc etc and received almost 15 items already, some as early as within a week.

I've used a SanDisk 32GB Ultra and later a Samsung Evo+ 64GB in my Z2 for two years but this time I didn't want to spend a lot more on SD as I found this card to be equally competent to big brands. I hope it won't let me down for at least 2 years. Then I'll move on to 200GB or something...

The truth is, most class 10 sdcards will do 4k as the bitrates for them are quite low (usually less than 10mb/s). It's more about the capacity than the speed. I record in 4k for over a year now and has not found a class 10 and higher card that wont record 4k (using note 4 and S7 edge). The only difference might be that it will take longer to take the next video as it saves but thats split seconds we're talking about. Not really noticeable in real life. I started making videos in 480p years ago and I sure hoped I filmed in the highest possible quality then even if I didn't have the telly to watch them in. Here's a shameless plug of my youtube channel that has been using 4k videos since last year: http://www.youtube.com/gx3k

Nope, no slowdowns whatsoever. I did a couple of stress tests to check the efficiency of the card by copying 45GB's of movies, videos and pictures along with some 15GB's of music, which it copied fairly quickly by the way at average 25MB/s, then quickly put it back inside the phone and loaded the gallery app to check how quickly it loads the icons while simultaneously reading updating the content and I was honestly surprised at the speed it was updating the icons as I was scrolling without any lag.

Also shot many photos and long videos with the phone and no problem at all.

For those that went with a 64gb Samsung Pro plus, how much actual usable size did you guys get? I set mine up as adopatble and my phone is saying it's only 59gb, not sure where the 5gb went.

Sandisk MicroSD SDXC 200GB on Samsung Galaxy S4 on

I hope this is put in the right section here, but I just wanted to tell you guys that on my Samsung Galaxy phone S4 (non rooted), a MicroSD Sandisk SDXC 200GB card (the new black one with red inscription) works flawlessly. So it's evident I guess, it'll work on higher models like the S7. .

It comes preformatted in ex-FAT, with 16Mb unallocated. Keep it that way.

What I did and to be on the safe side , I copied the content from my old, if upgrading from a lower size, in a 2-way process. Remove the card from your phone, put it in some card receptable, in your PC make all files visible (extra > folder options > view > uncheck protected files, check hidden files .. ) and copy the full content of your actual SD card in some folder. Copy all that content now to your new SDXC 200GB. Success !

My head is seriously hurting now and not sure what to choose between Sandisk Extreme Pro and Samsung Pro Plus, any suggestion would be nice. the price for both 64gb is roughly the same on Amazon.

Sd xc

I bought a sd xc card. And for some reason that card doesn't show 128 gb. I can't remember how much but it has 4 mb on it. Really strange cause my s7 can definitely read it. Any fix for this? Tried formatting it but no luck....

I'd put it into a PC card reader and verify that it's formatted to capacity (minus a few gb maybe), that it is formatted using exFAT file-system, and that from the PC you can fully write to the entire card.

There *are* fake cards out there advertising high capacity but not in reality having the capacity, which is why I say that verifying the formatting and data access from a different device is worth the effort.

I had bad experience with a card bought on the internet. Indeed it was in the launch period of the 64GB one's. But I only detected it was a forged one after a year or so. Buy yours in a shop I'd say. Always easy to return it back. Oh and BTW an Ultra SDXC is fast enough. At the moment the extra you pay is not exactly good value 4 money.

How much € did you pay 4 it ? The error you have is a typical error for forged one's

Got a relatively old SanDisk Extreme 64GB. It's not bad, but not great compared to the newer cards but the. I got it dead cheap. I need a larger one, so I'm holding out till I see a good deal on a 128 Samsung Pro+.
