NFC/Hotspot Universal Fix for Pie Treble by Kountry83/Raystef66

Here is the official NFC/Hotspot Universal Fix for Pie Treble!
Fixes both NFC/Hotspot on Phh v105 base roms only.

So far confirmed to be working on New Benzo and New Arrow treble roms. Test it on other treble roms and let me and @raystef66 know how it goes.

Thanks y'all.

Please give thanks to me and @raystef66 on our work.

Not a problem. @kountry83 and @raystef66 make a good team. It's the only way I can contribute, and it's worth it. The cost of any other phone with these specs is way more than this phone + a few donations.
More Axon 7 users should appreciate the devs who bring them the experiences they are enjoying.
This fix, it may bring more users to Pie from Oreo because they needed NFC and Hotspot working otherwise Pie was a no go for them... And these are users not limited to just our device. That's pretty big in my book. So grab some beers, or just one craft beer, on me. But, you guys deserve more.

For those die-hard Flashaholics

Unofficial LOS/AEX/PE 0922
Convert it to a system.img ;)
I had some time to test Pie implementations today. The Zips in the link you provide seem to be recovery installable zips, however I cant install them since they seem to be designed for another device.

Nonetheless I have had a nice surprise with the new ArrowOS Pie GSI 2018.09.23. It is fast, stable and everything I have tested was working fine. I will use it for a while next week using boot and vendor from official LOS15.1. The steps I have done today:

Flash TWRP Labs Mod if you do not have it and reboot recovery.
Flash lineage-15.1-20180911-UNOFFICIAL-axon7.zip (don't use NFounf Treble 1.1, it is not as compatible as LOS15.1 If you use NFound Treble 1.1 you'll get the error at boot)
Flash ArrowOS Pie GSI Aonly 2018.09.23
Maximize OS partitions' filesystem (Advanced > Oki Labs > Expand OS)
Flash Gapps ARM64/9.0/micro
Flash Magisk 17.2

The dark skin works, even in the nice deep black AMOLED mode, even the notifications are dark. I'd like to remove the round corners, but it seems that Pie will have that vintage look of the '80. By the way, the latest Benzo is also very stable and feature rich. I love the performance of the Benzo Browser.

Taking into account the development pace, it seems that we will be able to switch to Pie as a Daily driver before Halloween.

I have been using the latest Arrow today too. I used a much longer workaround, never thought to use LOS vendor. I will test using LOS.

Update: It worked!! Much easier installation.

Yeah the links I provided have to be converted. It's just to update how fast things go. If someone wants a converted one, just ask ;)

Thnx for the input, also on boot/vendor. Indeed, we follow ArrowOS and Benzo for a while now and they are getting great atm. (like Havoc)
Now NFC and Hotspot are working fine on Arrow and Benzo, adding the customazation which is more then ok now, these builds are very good to use as a daily driver imo. Fluent and stable. Hoping Benzo gets an update soon as the 0912 had some settings/mobile hickups. The Benzo 0901 build is fully usable though.
Btw, Changelog for Arrow0923...getting quite significant, right ;)

With vendor from LOS16.0, you will not be able to run Oreo ROMs, but only PIE and higher.
See @Unjustified Dev post on this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ax...zte-axon-7-t3831316/post77500923#post77500923
Some Pie GSIs won't run on the Pie vendor, but run fine using the Oreo one. It's all a bit trial and error, hence the purpose of this thread. Reading through other users posts in the thread of the Treble ROM you are looking to flash will help give you an idea of which one you should probably use.

Yeah this rom is amazing so far.
You have to boot first before flash gapps to skiip the first configuration.

I did install gaps in one flashsession and my phone rebooted itself after the first boot. It went flawless after that.

My only problem is that i can't find the advanced reboot menu :)

Its a great rom.
Settings - Display - Advanced - Buttons
With my gapps i couldnt pass the first configuration because of uncertified device :X

Flash lineage-15.1-20180911-UNOFFICIAL-axon7.zip.
I was on Benzo 0920 and I wanted to try Arrow rom. So, I wiped system, data, vendor, dalvik, cache and I got error 7 on the first step (ie. when flashing lineage-15.1). Is it because my vendor partition format is Nfound's?

I am now back on Benzo.

Anyone on latest Arrow have selfie camera missing from default camera?

Update: There is a fix. If anyone needs it, I will send it. I don't want to post it because I don't know who made it.
