No not if you use sungstromedaDo you still have to run the Andromeda app on PC after updating overlays and rebooting?
Where do I find that?No not if you use sungstromeda
Its in the substratum settings. Just enable it and it restarts by itselfWhere do I find that?
Is this still working? If i enable it, substratum doesn't work at all.. I have it disabled and working (but every time i want to re enable a theme, need to connect pc..)Its in the substratum settings. Just enable it and it restarts by itself
I don't see it in the settings. I've watched the video and I don't see where he enabled sungstratum in the settings either. Its in the substratum settings. Just enable it and it restarts by itself
No it isn't only for root.I don't see it in the settings. I've watched the video and I don't see where he enabled sungstratum in the settings either.
Edit: Maybe this for root only?
No your doing it wrong. Completely unapply the theme, reboot, enable sungstromeda, reapply theme, reboot again, now everything should be working fineNo it isn't only for root.
I reply to myself. I just tried it again and it seems to work now.. Very strange.
It was already checked and, every time I reboot i loose the theme.
I then read in andromeda thread that I should uncheck it, and yes, after uncheck it, theme stayed after restart.
Now i checked again and it works fine so, IF anyone has the same problem try this (which worked to me)
-uncheck this choice.
-Connect with pc and apply theme
-reboot and test if theme has applied
-check this option again
-change something and reboot to test that everything works without using pc again.
No not root only. Samsung onlyI don't see it in the settings. I've watched the video and I don't see where he enabled sungstratum in the settings either.

Thanks mate, I commented earlier on your video about ADB. But I did not know this, so thank you! It was one thing that stopped me from using substratum to theme apps and such. Didn't want to go through the hassle of using a computer all the time. Now this is so much easier! Plus with the goodlock 2018 app, I love my note 8 even more! I didn't think it was possible! Haha thanks again!Hi for anyone wanting substratum on Oreo without a pc then I made this for you.
so you linked to a video on youtube...wowHi for anyone wanting substratum on Oreo without a pc then I made this for you.
The sungstratum application is in the PlayStore, this only applies to Samsung with Oreoso you linked to a video on youtube...wow
Thanks, the video shows none of this stuff. This makes more sense. No your doing it wrong. Completely unapply the theme, reboot, enable sungstromeda, reapply theme, reboot again, now everything should be working fine
I had to just uninstall substratum and reinstall it to get that option to show up. It works for new users with no issues but most people here are already using substratum themes. No not root only. Samsung only
That's weird, the option was there for me after one of the updates. I've been using substratum for about a year too and I didn't have to reinstall itI had to just uninstall substratum and reinstall it to get that option to show up. You HAVE TO BUY ANDROMEDA for substratum to work on Oreo!Whenever I launch substratum I get prompt to purchase and use Andromeda.
How does what the OP state fit into the equation? The attached is what I have and used prior to the Oreo update.
Do I still have to purchase Andromeda to use the OP method?

So once I buy Andromeda, I don't need to follow adb commands if I follow op video? You HAVE TO BUY ANDROMEDA for substratum to work on Oreo!
However, post buying Andromeda there is a step where you need a pc and run a few adn commands / Andromeda batch file to setup the connection. OP just shows a way to bypass the pc step.
