I just noticed today that my Huawei P20 Pro camera flickers and there's a wave-like flowing on the screen when using Super Slow-mo at x32 and x8 under fluorescent lighting, like in the office. I have yet to try under daylight.

Hiya
This is normal. Slow motion recording especially at the higher fps needs really good light as in outdoors.
A lot of cameras flicker indoors.
Nothing wrong with your phone though, my S9+ was not good at slow mo indoors either.

That's the problem... You can't record super slow video under lights (not only p20 pro but with every phone) because of the flickering of lights that your eyes can't see... If you try in phisical light you will see that everything is good...

You can with constant lighting such as LEDs

It's on high-speed cams, they have tested a number of phone cameras, they say the p20 pro is recording at a slower speed than 960 FPS and is using software to slow it down even more.

The problem is just that your light is flickering.
If, like mine, your light flickers at 50hz, then 960 fps will exhibit worse flickering.

Yes, I had already read it but as I said it is just an opinion (that even maybe influenced by another manufacturer...)

When the winds of change blow, some build walls, others build windmills
